In MK2 Shang Tsung had a secret Fatality where he morphed into Kintaro. To do it you had to hold LP the entire round. Or at least 25 seconds and release when standing 2 or 3 steps away from the opponent. (1 arm length of Kintaro´s arm)
And Scorpion had his Easy Toasty Fatality which could be done anywhere. Just press D,D,U,U,HP standing anywhere. (MK2)

shangs was not a secret... and its lp for 30 seconds.

It's hold LP 25 seconds, or, hold LP before the round starts, and you can release it at any time, even beat them in 10 seconds and do it.

Cool Matt I didn't know that, I always thought it was 25 - 30 seconds or it didn't work

Yeah a lot of people don't realize that. Before the round starts you can time it so that right as the first frame of movement is possible, you can just press and release the button for any charge move instantly. I often use this with Kano, since his Cannon Ball is so fast in UMK3, but more often I will hold it, and run at them and release, most people don't even think "Cannon Ball is coming" and I'll get them 2 or three matches in a row.

The minimum time in game is 25 seconds. If you hold LP before the match starts, there is no time limit necessary because you could do it immediately if you have a one hit kills code on.
