Post subject: Mortal Kombat Flops and Favourites |

Why is it that every MK game has a flop? A flop is a character who falls flat on it's ass because no one likes him/her, or because they're just a bad fighter. This character doesn't generally appear in any other MKs. Every MK has a new character who everyone seems to like, too. Case in point:
Mortal Kombat 1: no flops, favourite: basically everyone.
Mortal Kombat 2: flop: Kintaro, the glorified Goro replacement. Favourite: Kitana and Mileena. Also, Jax and Kung Lao.
Mortal Kombat 3: flop: Stryker (oy), Nightwolf (oy vey), Sindel, and Kabal. *ducks the flying tomatoes thrown by rabid Kabal fans* Favourites: Cyrax, and Sektor.
Mortal Kombat 4: flop: (rack 'em up) Fujin, Kai, Tanya (although, I personally liked Tanya), and Jarek. Favourites: Ummm...... Quan Chi? Perhaps? I can't think of any fighter that anyone went completely nuts over.
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance: flops (count with me) Mavado, Bo'Rai Cho, Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Moloch. We are waiting to see how Nitara does, but I'm guessing she's going to be a near-flop, like Sheeva. Favourites: Kenshi and Frost.

frost was a little weak..even for the femal players, hsu is good if ya practice..real good...and ya mavodo....friggin inspector gadget!

My favourite would be Kano, Raiden, Sheeva (You cannot go wrong with a 40 something% combo), Baraka, Johnny Cage and Goro.
My 'Flop' Characters are: Shinnok (you know why Shang Tsung was more popular then you? because at least he had some original moves!), MK3 Sub-Zero (Too defensive, god... Ice clone, Ice shower, Ice ball, blah blah!), Cyrax (I hate that goddamn air throw of his) Kai (Head stand... you're kidding right?) and Jax (The screwed up quad throw in MK4, pure ignorance)

Hey I ain't bashing Sub-Zero, I like the guy he is a kick ass fighter, it's just when he took off the mask in MK3 he was to busy playing with his ice than fighting. The newer games (MK4 and Deadly Alliance) he dropped alot of those moves and went back to being a good fighter

Exactly! I like Sub-Zero better with the mask, he looks like a fool without it, The mask makes him look Bad Ass, without it first he looked like Henry Rollins now he looks like old man winter, the mask suits him better.

Mortal kombat:
Favorites: Come on, the first mortal Kombat has all great characters! But if I choose a favorite for MK1, it would be Sub Zero.
Sucks: First Mortal kombat was great, hated none, but the one i play with THE LEAST is Kano
Mortal Kombat 2:
Ok, I know these cuz i just got done playing MK2 on my SNES like a hour ago.
Favorites: Scorpion, Sub Zero, Rayden, Shang Tsung
Least: Baraka, Jax,
MK3:
Havent played for years, will post later
MK Ultimate tHree:
favorites: Ermac, Unmasked Sub Zero, Noob Saibot, Rain, Robot Smoke, Sektor, etc.
least: Jax, Kabal, Sindel, Sonya, Striker
OK: Scorpion, Human Smoke, Jade, Cyrax, Kano

Mortal Kombat Four:
