I noticed something... In the opening of MKII it says something along the lines of 'Only 7 Survived' at first I thought it just meant the original 7 survived, but then I realised that Sub-Zero was killed in MK1 by Scorpion so who was the seventh survivor? What do you people think?

The answer is Reptile. The reason is this:
As far as the MKII Storyline goes, Goro was 'Apparently Dead' So that would exclude him at the time the game came out. Its not Ermac because he wasnt a real character until Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. and Reptile was secret in the 1st MK so it would make more sense that he carried over to MK2.
or it could possibly be Shang Tsung, Even tho it was his evil plan, he is still a warrior. But i think its reptile.

Yeah but remember that the first time you read that (that is, before you got to read anyone's ending) you could have thought that the 7th warrior was actually Sub Zero, there was no way you could even think he was actually murdered and the one in MKII is his brother, so I think they wrote that in the intro so you would be surprised at reading Sub's ending

i was playing mortal kombat 2 today, i beat jade for the first time ever it took me about 7 years, i never really took her seriously but i thought if i beat her i might skip up to shoa kahn without having to fight kintaro

Reptile didn't even participate in the first tournament, he was just lurking around, so it's Sub Zero. Leno gave the reasons for this.

First of all...
In mortal Komat ONE when you fought Reptile, you would actully fight a red ninja or orange saying "Ermac"
Actully, this wasnt a real fighter. "Ermac" was short for "ERROR MAC"
And Goro died, so it was Reptile I'm sure.
I'm just sure that it wasnt Ermac. Ermac is my favorite character, considering Mortal Kombat Ultimate 3 was my favorite MK game, but he actully didnt appear til MKU3 because the makers wanted to add Ermac because people actully thought it was a real fighter instead of a error on the game.
