I got to see both Pirate's of the Caribean and LXG yesterday. How AWSOME is that?
I'd have to say i liked LXG better but Pirate'swas still great.
Personly i don't like Johnny Depp. (Don't ask why i just) do) But he did a great job. And Orlando Bloom. As far as i can tell is a great actor. But pirates had a lil' comedy with someromance mixed in and had a sorta Si-fi horror element to it. The graphics were good and the fight sceens where great
LXG well it was just suberb. Connery nailed his role as Alan Quatermain. But i have yet to see a role he hasent nailed. And the others did just as good. Specilt Shane West, I'd have to say he filled that role to the t.

I might see LXG today
Let me say that Pirates was one of the best movies i've seen so far this summer. I highly recommend it.

Don't make me bust out my Johnny Depp/Jack Sparrow avatar on yo ass!
j/k I loved PotC so much, Sparrow is my God. Honestly, I don't think I can ever sit through another movie without being disappointed that no character entertained me as much as him. (Except maybe PotC 2, which I believe is confirmed.)
As far as LXG, I haven't seen it, but probably will. The reviews so far have kind of scared me off, but it's still Sean Connery for Christ's sake!

Yup and he can nail almost any role you give him.

Alright, my post-movie analysis:
Well, I went in not expecting anything... and got nothing. I hate to say I didn't like a Sean Connery movie, so I won't. But that's what I mean. The movie had a very cool concept, great designs, cool characters, and a decent story. It just wasn't a very good movie. I don't want to spoil any of it on here, though. They tried to develop each character's background individually, and executed it poorly. Also, doing the try-to-make-every-character-seem-like-a-main-character bit just took away from the REAL main character's spotlight, and so made them all seem like rushed attempts to develop an emotional response to the Quartermain and his son deal.
Bleh, sorry, I'm starting to sound like that fat bastard Ebert, but I'm just trying to call it like I see it.
Go see Pirates of the Caribbean. It rocks.
