Most likey...he's dead. If you play MKGold and beat it as Baraka, watch the ending. Or you could just buy his ending in the Krypt (MKDA)!

Baraka is considered dead. Quan Chi has the rumor around saying that he killed Baraka. Of course, not exactly like the Ending. Not all endings have to make totally and 100% complete sense. Just the idea of it counts.
Oh and your question was a little broad. You asked where is Baraka. I was going to name you all the games that he's in until I read some of the replies.

Well, how do you explain Barakas demise that you can buy from the Krypt? Why else would they put that in there. I wanted Baraka to come back to...but he's probably dead! Maybe someone from his race will show up to take his place!

WEll, I have to change my post up there a little. I went on one of my little routine checks of Baraka and I found this little interesting thing.
It seems that Baraka is on the Unknown list. It is not certain that he is dead. Upon going lunitic, he was last seen going to meet Quan Chi but neither we know that or not, Baraka may have gotten there or not. Baraka is considered dead but remember, this mutant does like to hide.

Yeah, he looked pretty wierd in MK Gold, and also looked wierd in the MK Annihalation movie. (He does not have visible pupils!!!!!)
