Well a lot of endings are there that suggests what if conditions not the real story; but in MK4 most of the endings were related to the truth.

i truly dont blieve there was a champion to the last 1...i think itll be considered an introductory into MK6 and therefore no1 will be champ, but then again...shang tsung OR quan chi havent been confirmed for the new game so who knows...but if any1 was the champ id say scorpion beat quan chi and kung lao beat shang tsung

I did not play the game but saw the endings on web and it was not stated that Scorpion beat Quanchi, but they say Scorp beat him up pretty badly in the netherealm. I think it was MK4 where Scorpion was a champion.

In MK6 or MK5 you mean?
In Mk6 surely it would be Scorpion as the fans and Ed Boon likes him the most.

I guess it could both be Li Mei AND Kung Lao, since Kung Lao swore revenge against Shang Tsung. And it was Quan Chi that promised Li Mei if she could win the tournament her people would be freed. And since Scorpion was tossed into the Soulnado by the two Oni; Drahmin and Moloch he couldn´t get his hands on Quan Chi´s pale a$$.
