Classic, no contest.
Unmasked looks out of place as a Sub-Zero, but still manages to fit somehow, I guess. I never really liked his look in the old games, and unmasking a ninja completely defaces the secretive and stealth nature that IS a ninja. Whatever.
Anyway, Classic's mystique and personality fit the ninja role better than Unmasked, whereas he just seems to be there, with not much character development...and for half his role, he was protected by Scorpion, of all Ninjas. o_O

I like him masked too, but the only time he looked cool unmasked was in MK3. Since then, he has looked old and dumb.

Unmasked, I don't know why, and I didn't want to just put unmasked, so I put 'I don't know why' at the end to make it seem like I put thought into my decision...which I did...but I don't know how to explain it. Reply over.

I choose unmasked because the classic one killed my GOOD OLD FRIEND SCORPION (GET OVER HERE ~~~~~~~~~~>) came back to life and killed Sub-Zero..... now he protects the younger brother.
Anyway the unmasked Sub-Zero I'm talking about is from Mortal Kombat 2 ending, I liked how he looked asian and stuff.. kind of like a jackie chan person shooting ice..... no offense at all, I'm black.

He was killed before Mortal Kombat 1, killed by the Classic Sub-Zero which was from Mortal Kombat 1, and there is a movie in MK:MSZ about Scorpion saying: I AM SCORPION, YOU KILLED ME IN COLD BLOOD.

Quan Chi didn't kill Scorpion, he tried to take him back to the hell (Nether realm or some shit) but instead, scorpion took Quan Chi with him.

Sub-Zero was told of the deception by Raiden, and he fought his way into the Netherealm to undo his mistake. There he met Scorpion, the new identity of Hasashi. Sub-Zero retrieved the amulet, forcing Quan Chi to find other methods of freeing the fallen elder god.
Quan Chi made a major power grab by helping Shinnok defeat Lucifer, lord of the Netherealm, and thus became arch sorcerer. When he finally regained the power of Shinnok's amulet (at the end of the Outworld tournament), Quan Chi made a duplicate so that he could free Shinnok but retain the ability to destroy him. Quan Chi felt though that he would need a vengeful warrior to defeat the younger brother of the original Sub-Zero. So, Quan Chi told Scorpion that Sub-Zero had killed his family and allowed him access to the outer realms once again. As Scorpion prepared to finish Sub-Zero, Quan Chi appeared and revealed that he was the actual murderer. Enraged, Scorpion grabbed him as the sorcerer made a move to send the ninja to the Netherealm, thus trapping both of them. In the Netherealm, Quan Chi was tortured by Scorpion until the Oni Drahmin and Moloch found them. The Oni protected Quan Chi from Scorpion, and in return, Quan Chi (unintentionally) brought them back with him when he escaped the Netherealm. |
