Hello everyone! I'm new here. Cool And just as you all are, I am a great Mortal Kombat fan!

Mortal Kombat 1 had great successes as did their sequels. But one thing troubled me more and more. The first Mortal Kombat game had a more "Shaolin" environment, giving the player the feeling of beeing a participant in a great, honorable tournament.

But in the sequels however, things changed. You no longer fought in a beautiful environment, but in a more morbid and dark areas such as The Dead Pool, The Subway, Lost, The Pit (remake) and more.
Mortal Kombat was losing it's essence - no more "Shaollin" areas, Heavy Metal-music, dark environment and new mutated characters. And what worse was, there were no "TEST YOUR MIGHT" mini-games

Mortal Kombat was no longer meant to make the player comfortable with the "Shaolin" feeling- the sequels made the player more furstrated (as in MK 3, UMK 3 and MKT). But few fans could resist the "still on-going" charm of the great title.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance had brought up a small part of the "Shaolin"-feeling, with the Wu-Shi Academy level, The Nethership and "TEST YOUR MIGHT" mini-games which were improved a LOT. However, many characters were twisted (like Drahmin), some animations were stiff (Kano's and Jax's throw for example) and some were added to much "fluid" (this involves the chest of the females, they move TOO MUCH). But the graphics were great!

What I'd like to see in Mortal Kombat 6, is that the game contains the very same feeling which captured my soul so many years ago. The "participating-in-a-great-kung-fu-tournament"-feeling, some old levels are back such as the Courtyard (MK 1 level where Shaolin monks watch the fight and clap with their hands for the winner), Palace Gates, Shang Tsung's Palace (MK 1) and The Pit.

I want also those mini-games, who were greatly represented in MK: DA, with some more items to shatter, such as ice and ruby. I want to see some old characters back again, like Human Smoke (In his MK 2 costume), Ermac and Noob Saibot. The famous ninjas would also have their old MK1/MK 2 costumes to choose from. Secondary costumes are all fine, but what was a lack in previous MK-games were the choise of costume color (howere this option was present in MK 4).

Team Battle option, such as 2 Human players vs 2 CPU players tournament, where you would fight your way together to Quan Chi and Shang Tsung.

2+ player practice, where 1 or more players could practice their moves.

Be able to play as a green ninja with MK 2 Reptilce clothes and with Scorpion and Sub-Zero's all special moves (Harpoon, Freeze, Teleport Punch and Slide, would be a secret character) with good alignment and beeing a student of Sub-Zero.

The levels have more "life" with trees, flags, Shaolin monks, great Chinese structures and more light.

More fatalities, with weapons too, and actually I would like to be able to perform Friendships too! Smile

And ONE last thing... Mortal Kombat is not about death, but life...
The game would be less morbid, in the way that there is no longer something called "The Krypt". Instead, it will be called "The Treasure Room" filled with treasure chests. You gather koins and buy characters, costumes etc (perhaps even MK 1 Arcade game remade for game consol and put in MK 6 as an extra game?).

AND I WANT TO SEE THOSE GREAT BLOOD EFFECTS WHICH WERE WELL DISPLAYED IN MORTAL KOMBAT: DEADLY ALLIANCE!

*Sheesh* this was long! Shocked I hope you could read this without Sleepy
Anyway, this is what I'd like to see, and I truly hope with all of my heart that at least my wish of bringing back some old levels and that special "Shaolin"-feeling becomes true.

Best Wishes to you all!
From Chilly-Dude

The reason MK lost it's Shaolin-ish feel and look is because of the fact that the 2nd MK wasn't held in Earthrealm, but in Outworld. Actually, after the 1st MK, there wasn't any REAL tournament going on in the games, it was more like a Earth vs. The rest battle.

I like most of your points though.

I agree that the game lost it's overall formal tournament feel, but I still loved the latter games. And it's always great to have games that are merely compilations for fun, like MKT, but it would be great to bring back the 'Shaolin' feel.
