Part 1: A Murder, Capture, and the End of the Chat Session
(by MKDragon, added on January 10, 2004)
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: About last week I started writing this. This is only the first part though. I'll add the 2nd part later. Enjoy!
EDIT: another important note, for Total-MK: this chatroom's not related at all to the MK5.org chatroom, so leave my fanfics alone, okay? It's a totally different chatroom according to this two part series. Hey it's I don't mean to bring you bad memories if that's what this is all about. Just don't think that it's related to MK5.org's 'cause it's not.
**Added by Total-MK, sorry bottom line is its still indirectly advertising an MK chatroom. Advertising isnt allowed on this forum, and chaging the channel name doesnt effect your fan fiction.**
Prologue:
An hour and a half earlier that night, a 19, soon to be 20 year old has signed online, and surfed in this IRC chatroom channel known as #TMK. The username she signed in as was known as MKDragon. What she thought she was witnessing was a bizarre RPG chat in which everyone was totally into their characters. She didn’t know that it was the real villains from the MK games, planning out their plans for the next upcoming tournament of Mortal Kombat.
As labeled the “guest of honor” by the pleased Shang Tsung, MKDragon decided to stay for a while, just out of curiosity. Of course, Shang Tsung has no honor over anything, the evil sorcerer. All the villains, but Baraka, had arrived, and did not make MKDragon any less confused than she already was! By the time Emperor Shao Kahn had arrived, he didn’t help her any, so she left the chatroom when she was not supposed to. Her actions have enraged the ruler of Outworld and he had ordered his fellow sorcerer to go fetch MKDragon and bring her to him.
*Prologue ends*
“MKDragon”, as she was known from the first part of the humorous chatroom, was still online. She was checking out a forum she moderated. Xerogaming.com forums. A gaming in general forum. In the next few minutes, she started to hear the racket, coming from upstairs. It was a loud boom at first, followed by shouting voices that she didn’t know, including robotic voices. Then she heard her parents’ voices.
Shang Tsung: Where is MKDragon?
MKDragon’s dad: How did you get in here?
MKDragon’s mom: We don’t know anyone by MKDragon.
Shang Tsung: They’re LYING! Cyrax, Sektor! Kill them!!!
Cyrax and Sektor (at the same time): COMMAND ACKNOWLEDGED SHANG TSUNG.
Knowing that her parents were in trouble, she quickly scooted away from the computer table on her rotating chair on wheels. She opened the door, but was too late. She heard the agonizing screams and moans of her parents as she rushed upstairs. “NO!!!” MKDragon screamed as she saw what had happened. Sektor shot one of his heat seeking missiles at her father, making his middle section split open. As for her mom, Cyrax had a short teleport to be behind her and twisted her neck. She fell to the floor face down.
Shang Tsung was facing the beyond frightened girl and mused, “Ah, you must be MKDragon. You’ll be coming with us.” MKDragon, without even thinking about her shoes and coat, rushed outside in the freezing cold in a panic! She didn’t know where to run, but she had to get away! It wasn’t long before the cyborgs have spotted her trying to escape. Cyrax ran up at a good distance and shot a GreenNet at MKDragon, which wrapped around her. Caught in shock and surprise, she fell forward onto the ground hard on her knees as Shang Tsung, Cyrax, and Sektor came running up to her. A neighbor who was watching from outside was about to call up the police, until another of Sektor’s heat seeking missiles killed him. Before MKDragon could scream, Cyrax placed one of his metallic hands over her mouth to muffle her cry for help. “You’ll be coming with us now!” And the four had vanished from Earth.
In Outworld, Shao Kahn was sitting in a different chair, away from his computer, waiting for Shang Tsung and the others. There were two different shouting voices that startled him.
MKDragon: Let GO OF ME, BASTARDS!!!
Shang Tsung: Emperor Shao Kahn! My Lord, we found her!
Still in the GreenNet Cyrax fired onto her, she was dragged into the room where Kahn awaited to start his small talk. MKDragon had become silent when she saw Kahn, in the flesh! “This is MKDragon?” Shao Kahn asked the other three. “Affirmative.” Cyrax replied automatically. “We had killed her mother and her father to get to her.” Tsung informed his master. MKDragon shook with fear and had started weeping bitterly in fear, and in grieving over the death of her parents. Kahn looked down at her and smirked. “Excellent.” he said.
“Stand up mortal.” Kahn ordered. Slowly, the shaking girl from the Earth Realm rose to face him. “Remove the net!” he added as Cyrax yanked his GreenNet off her. MKDragon couldn’t say a word until he spoke. “You, foolish girl, have left the chatroom WITHOUT my approval!” Shao Kahn boomed as MKDragon fell to her knees. “You’ve disrespected my authority newcomer…” “I…” MKDragon stammered. “I didn’t want to join!” “Well, it’s a bit too late for that.” he sneered, taking pleasure of her sniveling and that she had knelt before his presence, even though it was by accident. “Why!!!!” was all she could cry, and glared in hatred at her captors for the murders they had committed. “It was necessary,” Shang Tsung had replied in a calm manner. “I admit, it sure got your attention.” In a sudden outburst, she lunged at the vile man, but Shao Kahn had grabbed a good handful of her hair and yanked. Shang Tsung laughed as MKDragon yelped. “You were lucky to have known your kin for so long. As for my mother and father, I hardly knew them.” Kahn said as he let go and kicked her back so she’d fall on her stomach. “As punishment, you are to stay in the dungeon overnight.” he added as Cyrax and Sektor started dragging her away. As her last words to Shang Tsung, Cyrax, Sektor, and Shao Kahn, she raged, “FUCK YOU!! Fuck all of you!!” “Wow, she’s so hot tempered, I LIKE that.” Kahn mused. “She could be useful.” Shang Tsung nodded in agreement.
MKDragon couldn’t struggle with the cybernetic minions as they dragged her down a hallway. “LET…GO!!” she yelled, as loud as she could in a fury of anger as they said nothing in response. Except for Cyrax who said snobbishly, “Unable to comply.” When they found the first empty dungeon available, they threw her into the barred cell and locked her up. MKDragon went up to the bars and screamed toward their backs, “YOU ALL WILL PAY!!! YOU’LL BE SORRY! JUST WAIT AND SEE!” And after another short burst of yelled curses towards the robo-soldiers, she finally gave in to her surroundings, turning around and faced the wall, leaning against the bars. The skeleton that laid on the floor by the wall in front of her made her cry in fear as she wept heavily, ignoring that reeking stench all around her…
When Shao Kahn went back to his computer, the others were back at their computers as well. Baraka even arrived…
SHAO KAHN: MKDragon’s in the dungeon for punishment for her hot tempered misbehavior.
Sub-Zero: Wow, that almost sounds like you Scorpion!
Cyrax: Shang Tsung, Sektor, and I had assassinated her mother and father.
SHAO KAHN: Now let’s get this meeting started…
Kano: Crikey! No wonder she was so mad.
Scorpion: At least I wasn’t in prison Sub-Zero.
SHAO KAHN: Enough about MKDragon! Let’s get these announcements over with! Shang Tsung…
Shang Tsung: Yes. The next tournament will start after the next 5 months, giving everyone plenty of time to shape up.
Shang Tsung: We will be expecting everyone to fight their best as usual. No excuses!
SHAO KAHN: Anything else?!
Shang Tsung: No, that is all.
SHAO KAHN: Good. This special announcement. Anyone who dares to cross with me, like MKDragon did, will be treated even more harshly and will be annihilated!
GORO: We all understand that Master.
SHAO KAHN: MKDragon is only staying in the dungeon overnight, and will be released tomorrow morning, at dawn.
Ermac: Your Highness, before you have arrived, we were discussing about giving MKDragon some training.
SHAO KAHN: What a superb idea! Anyone who wants to give her some training on the upcoming tournament are welcome to do so. At least that keeps her from attacking me, and Shang Tsung.
Shang Tsung: Sektor and Cyrax, I suggest you keep away from MKDragon until she learns some discipline here in Outworld.
Cyrax: Command acknowledged Shang Tsung!
Sektor: Command acknowledged Shang Tsung!
SHAO KAHN: You’ve all made it on time, and I’m pleased that you’ve been very prompt this time. *YAWN* I’m going to get some rest. It’s been a long day for me. Enjoy yourselves!
GORO: WAIT! KAHN!
SHAO KAHN: What is it Goro?
GORO: I have to ask you, may I have my own computer? I hate having to share Baraka’s!
SHAO KAHN: It shall be done Prince GORO. Well will give you a new one tomorrow. Good bye.
SHAO KAHN has quit #TMK.
GORO: Shang Tsung! Turn Kano into that rat now!
Shang Tsung: I cannot do that now, perhaps when the tournament is over.
Kano: *whew*
Mileena: All of us are needed in our share of teaching MKDragon to be a very skilled fighter!
Scorpion: She’ll do excellent with me! We both have hot tempers!
Sub-Zero: lol Scorpion found his soul mate.
Shang Tsung has quit #TMK. (LET THE TRAINING BEGIN!)
Kintaro: I cannot wait to meet this MKDragon tomorrow. I think everyone will be in front of the Black Tower by dawn.
Scorpion: SHUT UP SUB-ZERO! I’LL BURN YOU ALIVE!!!
Sindel: Scorpion and Sub-Zero are such children, like Kano.
Reptile: Perhaps I’ll sneak by and pay a visit to MKDragon…heh heh.
Rain: I agree with you Sindel. Scorpion and Sub-Zero, can’t you two just get along?
Ermac: Reptile, I’ll go with you!
GORO: This is Baraka! Goro went to go eat rats, since he couldn’t have Kano as a rat snack!
GORO is now known as Baraka.
Reptile: I’ll wait for you at the Black Tower, in the back!
Noob Saibot: Count me in too! I can easily sneak in, the darkness is my friend.
Kano: Ha ha, fat chance for Goro in seeing me as a rat!
Sindel: I’m going. Jade, come visit me!

Baraka: I’ll stay on for a bit.

Baraka: I know, but I’m telling Kahn about it tomorrow.
Kano: I don’t care what you’ll be doing. I don’t give a rat’s ass about Chameleon.
Baraka: Ha ha, that’s funny you say “rat’s ass” because you almost were in danger of becoming one.
Kano: I know, now SHUT UP about it, okay?
Baraka: lol
Kano: Screw you Baraka. I’m outta here!

After a short break from writing, i wrote a part 3 to this story, but for now, here's part 2, like i promised!  Copied and pasted from what i posted at Earthrealm.com
Part 2: A Most Unexpecting Visit, and an Unpleasant Welcome

At the Black Tower, Reptile was awaiting for Ermac’s arrival. He wasn’t expecting the others at all. Ermac started to walk on by the back door to Shao Kahn’s domain when he heard a familiar voice nearby. “Hey Ermac.” said Reptile. “Reptile? Is that you?” Ermac wondered, looking around. With a punch to his friend’s face, Reptile said, “I’m right in front of you, you dolt! Don’t you know that I can go invisible?” He became visible again as the red clad ninja slapped his forehead. “Oops! Sorry, I forget sometimes.” Ermac laughed as the two turned to face the door. “There will be guards to take care of first.” Reptile pointed out.
“A simple idea, my friend.” Ermac suggested. “You, go invisible again and attack one guard. As for me, I’ll do a telekinesis attack on the other.” The reptilian in human guise nodded in agreement. “I’ll go first,” Reptile insisted as he went invisible once more and began to open the door.
The guard inside the dungeon area was a bit spooked and stuttered, “Wh-who’s there?!” A moment later he falls backwards on the ground unconscious. Reptile had performed one of his realm famous knockout punches. Ermac used his mind powers to lift the other guard and slam him against the wall. “All too easy…” Reptile mused as he showed himself for his friend to see him.
Human sobs were heard in the distance. They were female. “That must be MKDragon.” Ermac said, feeling a bit of pity for the poor young woman. “Follow the sobs.” Reptile snickered as they walked down the hall. When they stood in front of the jail cell MKDragon was imprisoned, she had her back turned on them, sitting up against the bars. “MKDragon.” Reptile called as she didn’t turn around. “Go away.” she sobbed. Ermac looked down and his mouth on the inside of his own mask frowned. He felt sorry for her. Reptile on the other hand… “Is that how to treat your future trainers?” he mocked, kicking her back through the bars. MKDragon jumped to her feet and yelled in Reptile’s face. “Fuck off!” She then moved away from the bars to her cell and sat on the stone bench that was sitting upright against the left side wall.
“Reptile, show some sympathy. You lost your family too. A long time ago.” Ermac pointed out. He then turned to whom they were visiting. “What Shang Tsung did was way out of line, I admit. He shouldn’t have done that.” Shang Tsung, that very name expressed hatred from her. She squeezed her teeth together in her jaw. “Yeah, you’re right Ermac.” Reptile said. “MKDragon, if you want your revenge, you’ll have to trust us.” MKDragon didn’t respond. “We’ll all help you.” Ermac added.
She obviously didn’t have a choice. MKDragon had to let them train her to be the best damn warrior in Outworld. There was no way out of it. “Fine.” she said reluctantly, through her sobbing.
Then, a dark figure had emerged from the dark wall in front of her. She didn’t notice. She had her head on her knees, bawling. “What the…NOOB!” Ermac yelled. MKDragon, startled, looked and saw the dark shadowy ninja. She gasped in fear as Saibot assured her, “I’m not going to harm you. I was curious as Ermac and Reptile over there. So it’s true.” “All of you, just leave me alone!!” she yelled. “Saibot…” Reptile commanded, signaling Noob Saibot to get out of the cell. Then, Rain came running in. “Hey,” he greeted the others. “Let’s just go.” Ermac said. “She doesn’t want to see anybody right now.” “But I just got here!” Rain argued. “Let’s not make her even more upset than she already is.” Ermac insisted. Reptile sighed and agreed, “You’re right again. The longer we stay, the less respect we’ll gain.” Rain looked at MKDragon for once and said what he had to say to her. “If it helps, I’m willing to help you get back at Shang Tsung.” MKDragon gave him a short glance, then closed her eyes, letting the tears build up in her eyes. “Sorry…” Ermac apologized. “Hey, we’ll see you tomorrow, alright?” MKDragon ignored him, sobbing.
As the group of ninjas left Kahn’s Black Tower, Kabal was walking past. “Not so fast Kabal.” Ermac said, grabbing his arm. “MKDragon doesn’t want any visitors. Wait ‘til tomorrow.” “What did you say to her?” Kabal asked them, not very happy about the person he’s somewhat made friends with online. “We didn’t really say anything wrong. Reptile kicked her when he shouldn’t have, and Noob Saibot kind of spooked her with how he appeared.” “You all are so cruel.” he said angrily. “Hey, it’s not like we meant it! Just because she felt sympathy for you before, that doesn’t mean she could be the same way now!” Reptile raged. Kabal kept walking. “Don’t say we didn’t WARN YOU!” Reptile called behind his back. “Let him go. He’ll learn.” Ermac said as they left to go to their quarters.
Kabal, meanwhile, had arrived at MKDragon’s cell. “Hey, it’s me Kabal.” MKDragon just took a quick glance at him, then ignored his presence. “I apologize for the others back there. They were careless and cruel.” Again, no response from her. “Are you alright?” Kabal asked in concern. “Just leave, please…” MKDragon said softly through her tears as Kabal sighed in frustration, because of what the ninjas done. He left.
It seemed like forever as hours passed on through the night. MKDragon’s last tear eventually came, and all the moisture in her eyes have dried up. They were red from crying so much. Before letting herself sleep, she prayed in her mind of desperate need of help. 'Please God, help me out of here. I don’t want to fight the next Mortal Kombat. Please help me!' But the answer to her prayers were a long way from being answered. Slowly, she rested her weary self from all of the fear that had consumed her. She was afraid of what was to become of her, now that her life has been turned upside down…

Hey thanks mkfreak. Well, I've recently done a part 3 so here it is!
Part 3: Times of Hardships, Friendships, and Training
“Get up!” an aggressive voice ordered MKDragon as she slowly stood up from sleeping against the wall. Her blue green eyes were red from lack of sleep, and crying. The guard, dressed in black armor, unlocked the barred door and opened it. With not nearly enough sleep, about 3 and a half hours, MKDragon slowly realized it was time to go. Time to go face Outworld.
The guard certainly didn’t know how to be patient, so he took a firm grip of MKDragon’s left arm, and escorted her to the exit. Outside, a small crowd of warriors had gathered, waiting for her to come out of Shao Kahn’s Black Tower. With a shove, she landed on her stomach.
“Did ya sleep well?” Kano teased, his infrared eye glowing with the rising sun. MKDragon only moaned in response. If only she could just go back to sleep… Kabal helped MKDragon to her feet. He seemed very concerned about her well being. “Are you okay?” he asked, supporting her in standing up. “She’s tired.” Ermac observed, noticing the redness in her eyes. Jade stood straight with her hands on her hips. Her green female ninja outfit gleamed in radiance. “Well, all warriors need strength.” she suggested. Ermac agreed with a nod. He added, “My quarters are not far from here. She can rest there.” “OR she can rest at MY quarters!” Kabal interjected, not trusting Ermac. Last night’s incident told from him was the reason. “Kabal, don’t be ridiculous! You live miles away from the Black Tower and you know that.” Ermac argued. “She wouldn’t want to go that far.” MKDragon just stared at him dully, not saying anything. Kabal, after a moment reconsidered and helped MKDragon to go to Ermac. When Kabal let go of her, Ermac caught her from collapsing. “Oh! I’m so sorry!” Kabal spoke, having strong emotion in his words. “When she is fully rested,” Sub-Zero stated. “She will start her training.” “Right.” Ermac said, partly not paying attention. As a friend, all he was concerned was finding MKDragon a place to rest her exhausted form.
It was only a ten minute walk there. During the walk, Ermac tried to be of comfort. “You must feel terrible right now.” “Mm hmm.” was all MKDragon replied. “Look, uh, sorry about last night. My friends didn’t have good manners.” Ermac apologized. “I saw Kabal head out the door as we left. He didn’t upset you too, did he?” No response at first, but she eventually mumbled, “No… Not really…” That was followed by a yawn.
When they arrived in Ermac’s quarters, MKDragon briefly observed the facility. It was nothing special. Just a banged up log cabin that had the windows boarded up. Someone else had stayed there before Ermac even discovered the place. It wasn’t exactly the best he could find, but as long as it was stable, and had a bed for him to rest on. Inside, there was a small kitchen and dining area. There was no refrigerator. There weren’t phones or any appliances. Just a very old fashioned type of place to stay in. Ermac kindly escorted her out of the kitchen, and into the door on the right. MKDragon trudged onto the king sized bed and laid down on it. Ermac didn’t say a word before leaving, because there was really nothing else he could say. She was just tired, and didn’t want to be disturbed, so he left her alone.
Sometime when MKDragon was still resting, there was a soft knock on the front door. Ermac walked to answer it. “Hey,” Reptile greeted, stopping by for a visit. “Keep your voice low.” Ermac suggested with precaution. “She’s still asleep.” “Yeah, yeah. Okay.” Reptile said, lowering to a medium soft whisper. Ermac let Reptile into his quarters and they sat at the dining room table. “What is it?” Ermac wondered. “Nothing.” his friend said in honesty. “There’s nothing wrong. I just wanted to stop by and see you.” “Oh…Well, that’s fine.” Ermac responded kindly. Then there was a slight pause between them. With a sigh, Reptile started scolding himself a bit. “I shouldn’t have kicked at her like that. You were right Ermac. She’s away from the rest of her kind, like me. That Shang Tsung …” “Shang Tsung will perish once and for all.” Ermac said, putting words into his colleague’s mouth. “Yeah…” Reptile agreed. Another short pause. “Hey, how about Kabal? I didn’t know he would have feelings for someone who was kind to him for once. I just thought he was barbaric.” “Yeah, MKDragon’s brought surprises on all of us.” Ermac remarked with a nod. “I hope she won’t hate me still. I can act so stupid at times.” Reptile scolded himself some more. “Well, be patient. I am. She’ll accept us after a while.” Ermac replied.
A couple boring hours later, MKDragon stirred as the sunlight touched her eye lids. MKDragon was awake, but she didn’t get out of bed. She just laid there, still emotionally shattered about last night. So she pulled the covers over her head. She wanted to sleep it all away, hoping that all this was only a nightmare. “Are you just going to sleep all day?” a voice said. MKDragon shook under the covers. And saw through them as a shadowy figure started to rise up from the floor beside the bed she was on. Noob Saibot pulled the covers to reveal MKDragon, sitting up on the bed, eyes wide open. “If you want to avenge the death of your family, you have to train hard to be up against Shang Tsung.” he advised. Shang Tsung… MKDragon thought. “Damn him…” she managed to say. “Damn him to hell.” “I like the attitude, but it’s not enough you know.” Saibot said, trying to be friendly.
MKDragon blinked a few times before leaving the room she slept in. She followed the sound of two voices into the kitchen. “She’s awake.” said Noob Saibot, sitting at the dining room table. “How the hell did you get in here?” Ermac demanded. He sure doesn’t like anyone sneak into his quarters. “I just went from shadow to shadow to get here. You know how I am Ermac.” Saibot laughed. MKDragon just stood there, baffled. She couldn’t believe that these guys really existed.
Reptile pulled the chair out beside him. “Want to sit down?” he offered her. MKDragon didn’t say anything, but slowly sat down beside him. “Hungry?” Ermac asked. MKDragon thought for moment, then nodded. She then placed her elbows on the table, not feeling like herself. “Hey Reptile, I know for a fact that MKDragon here hates Shang Tsung as much as you do.” Noob Saibot said, smirking at him with his green , glowing, demonic eyes. “I wouldn’t blame her.” Reptile said, sliding a hand up and down MKDragon’s back once. “He shouldn’t do such things with others. It’s insane and just…wrong.”
“Here’s your breakfast.” Ermac offered, placing a stone plate full of raw fish meat before MKDragon. There was no silverware, so she picked the meat apart and ate it. It was edible. Could have been worse. MKDragon would have ended up eating rat if Ermac didn’t dispose it to Goro earlier that morning.
Saibot laughed as he commented, “Wow, look at her chow down! She eats as fast as you Reptile.” Reptile stared at him, mentally burning a hole through his ignorance. “So?” he said. “Behave yourselves children,” Ermac joked. “Or I’ll have to send you two back to your quarters.” Saibot laughed, but Reptile just rolled his eyes in slight annoyance. MKDragon just ate, not really paying attention to what they were saying.
When she was finished, Ermac took the plate from her. “Good eatin’ huh?” Reptile said to MKDragon, patting her back. She stood up from her chair, asking, “When do I begin training?” Ermac was kind of surprised at first. “Are you sure you want to start now?” “Why not? Anger is better than despair. She’s not going to get far by sitting around and doing nothing.” Reptile said, for her defense. “She wants revenge, and FAST. I can feel it.” “Yeah, alright.” Ermac said.
MKDragon was determined to learn to fight, maybe even learn some special abilities. She knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but she was up to the test. She was going to push her feelings aside. She was pretty young, around 19, but she was preparing to be a strong warrior. She wanted to learn. She was willing to learn.
Ermac, Reptile, and Noob Saibot led her out of Ermac’s quarters to the front yard. There was plenty of space for everyone to move around. “MKDragon, whether you know how to fight at all or not, I suggest we start with the basics.” Ermac insisted “So I learn karate and all that jazz?” MKDragon said, with a cocky attitude. “Of course.” he said. “Let’s do some Tai Chi for warm ups first.” Tai Chi…she knew of that. One of her friends back in Earth knew Tai Chi, and showed her some of the moves. MKDragon nodded. “No need to explain what Tai Chi is, because I already know.” she said. “A friend of mine, back on Earth, teaches Tai Chi.” She didn’t quite remember some of the moves her friend Sharron had showed her, but Ermac and Reptile helped. Noob Saibot just observed and took mental notes. Tai Chi was a good warm up indeed. It helped in calming the mind, and stretching the muscles. “Every morning, I suggest you do a little Tai Chi.” Ermac instructed MKDragon. “It helps a lot in different ways.” She nodded. “I will.” she said with determination.
Moving on, Ermac and Reptile helped her develop the concept of the first level of the basics in karate. MKDragon not once took her attention away. She absorbed the information in, as if her brain were like a wet sponge. Today wasn’t of actual fighting rounds, but just getting the basic moves down. The high punch, low punch, high kick, and low kick. MKDragon tried, and succeeded.
By the time they all felt that training was done for now, they went back inside Ermac’s quarters for lunch. As they were eating, there was a knock on the door. Kabal was coming by. “Oh, hi Kabal.” Ermac said. “Came to see MKDragon?” “Yes.” Kabal said. “Is she awake?” “She’s been awake, and just started her training.” Reptile explained, coming out of the kitchen. “MKDragon’s having some lunch in the kitchen if you want to go talk to her.” Kabal walked past Ermac and Reptile without further acknowledgement.
“Hi!” he said cheerfully as he sat across from her. “Oh hey, Kabal…” MKDragon said, feeling a bit hesitant. “How are you?” Kabal asked, hoping she was okay. He thought she was a really sweet young lady. “I’m okay,” MKDragon said calmly while she ate. Kabal watched her eat, occasionally taking a sip of water every now and then. “I’m learning the basics.” MKDragon said, not real enthusiastic about it. “Tai Chi is good though. I wouldn’t mind doing that everyday.” Kabal smiled inside his mask. “Maybe…perhaps I could join you sometime?” he said, trying not to make her feel uncomfortable. “Um, sure. Okay.” MKDragon replied, feeling a bit light headed. She didn’t know what to think of Kabal, other than just trying to be a nice guy. Kind of weird, but a nice guy.
When lunch was over, the training continued. Kabal stood beside Noob Saibot for observation. MKDragon was trying some combos with what she had learned. “She learns fast.” Saibot observed. “She’s really good.” Kabal commented. Saibot looked at Kabal suspiciously. “I think…that you have feelings for MKDragon. Is this true?” he asked. “Well, yeah!” Kabal said with a bit of confidence in his voice. Saibot laughed. “Aw, how cute.” he teased. Kabal didn’t like his comment, and decided to move away from him some. Saibot wondered if he should tell MKDragon that Kabal has a little crush on her, but he wasn’t one who’d embarrass people. Leave that up to Kano, Mileena, or Sindel.
Kabal had moved a bit closer to watch MKDragon in action. Reptile was in front of her, encouraging her to keep at it. She had one combo down that suited her: high punch, low punch, jump, two high kicks. “That is a good move, but do it faster.” Reptile suggested. MKDragon tried to go a little faster, then a little more faster. She once knocked Reptile down, causing him to laugh. “Very good.” Ermac commented. Kabal was clapping for her. “Yeah!! Excellent job MKDragon!!” Kabal cheered.
You know, what seemed funny to MKDragon was that they never asked if it was her real name. Well, she had a theory for that. Perhaps they called her that because she didn’t want to tell them her real name online. They respected her privacy. Then MKDragon shook the thoughts off. She was supposed to focus on her training, not to drift off into space.
When it was sunset, everyone agreed that it was enough for the day. Kabal wanted to keep MKDragon outside with him, just for a small chat. “You, did great.” he said, very impressed by her skill. “Thanks…” she said, half smiling. He sensed that she hasn’t been really happy lately. “Is something the matter?” Kabal asked. MKDragon said nothing, as if to say a yes. “You’re still grieving.” he said, knowing from the chatroom that Shang Tsung, Sektor, and Cyrax had murdered her parents. MKDragon held back the urge to stop crying, and broke eye contact with him. “Hey, if you want to let it out, you’re always welcome to come to me.” MKDragon blinked as her eyes were starting to water. “I’ll think about it.” she said, looking back at him. “I guess I better go.” Kabal said. “I’m so sorry I brought that up.” “Yeah, later.” MKDragon said softly, as Kabal agreed, “Later.” She watched him go as she took a deep breath and went inside.
MKDragon hated bottling up things inside her, but it was necessary. She had to do this because if she broke down again, it would be difficult to stay on course of her training. A few tears dripped down her face, but that was all the crying she let herself do for the day. She went back inside, eating more fish and rice for dinner. It wasn’t much variety, but it was good to keep her healthy. When she was done, she left the table, and headed back outside. Ermac followed. “Where are you going?” “Outside, to do some more Tai Chi.” MKDragon said, turning to talk to him. Ermac didn’t see anything wrong about that. “Oh okay. That’s good.” MKDragon then walked outside and performed her future daily exercises. It helped calm her mind. It took her off all the troubles she had faced recently. “Hell, I could do Tai Chi all day.” she told herself while doing the Tree, a type of Tai Chi stance. She stood on her left foot, arms spread out, and her other foot was on her right knee. She did these for a long while, until she had enough. She then sat down in the ground, and looked up at the sky.
Sparks of lightning appeared. And with that, Lord Rayden, the God of Thunder, floated downward from the sky to her. “I’ve seen what you’ve been through, MKDragon.” “Rayden…” MKDragon said. “What are you doing here?” “I’ve come to help. I would like to get you out of here. You can stay with me, in my temple. I could help you through your hardships and you could live out the rest of your life. In peace.”
MKDragon just sat there, thinking about it for a moment. But what about her mission to destroy Shang Tsung, Cyrax, and Sektor? Could she just abandon that and go with Rayden? Could she just abandon her training and leave Outworld like that? “No…” MKDragon said, answering the questions in her head. “I want to defeat the evil Shang Tsung. I want to train and be a great warrior. Thanks, but no thanks Mr. Rayden.” “I know you’re doing it for revenge, not honor. Your parents would not be pleased.” Rayden replied, not happy about her choice in the exact terms. “If you want justice done, fight for honor.” “You think you’re something huh. Reading my thoughts and talking to my parents in sprit when I can’t. I’ll do it for both: honor and revenge. I will avenge my family’s death, and fight in their honor. That is my choice, and you can’t convince me otherwise!!!” MKDragon yelled in anger. “And I will not interfere with your decision,” Rayden soothed, holding up a hand to signal her to calm down. “Though I worry about you. That temper of yours could get you in trouble one day.” “I worry about me too, but I won’t let that stop me.” MKDragon said.
“Just be careful, MKDragon…” the God of Thunder cautioned. “I don’t want to see you getting yourself killed. And Shang Tsung is a very powerful sorcerer. He may influence you under his magic, and trick you.” “No way in hell is that happening to me.” MKDragon told him. “One day, I will defeat him, you’ll see.” Rayden smiled, the white glow in his eyes were gentle. “Yes, we shall see.” he said. “We shall see. Well if you ever want to hear of my wisdom, you know where to look. I’ll be watching you MKDragon.” Rayden pointed an index finger up to the sky. MKDragon just nodded as Rayden began to slowly fly upward into the sky. MKDragon gaped at the sight and watched under she couldn’t see him, or the lightning no more. She went back inside with confidence. She knows better than to let her self be tricked by Shang Tsung. She thought to herself that she’d be dumb to fall for it. To have a very low IQ. But Rayden knows how powerful Shao Kahn’s sorcerer of Outworld can be, which is why he had to warn her.
She told Ermac, Reptile, Noob Saibot, and Rain, who just came by a few minutes ago about seeing Rayden. She told them of Rayden’s offer and what she said to that. They all listened to the story. “Well, I’m glad you’ve decided to stay. It’s the right thing to do.” Reptile said. “I didn’t run away when the Shao Kahn, and his sorcerer wiped out the rest of the human race.” Everyone else had their say in agreement. For a while they talked. Once, Rain bought up, “Hey MKDragon, why don’t you tell us what you did on Earth.” “No,” she said instantly. “It would just bring emotional pain for me.” Eventually, it grew late, and MKDragon went off to sleep, while the others just chatted amongst themselves.
To be honest, MKDragon never expected Rayden to visit her. Well, it was for a good cause. To help her on her mission. MKDragon had sworn to defeat Shang Tsung, and his two robo-servants. There was no way she would forget about what they have done. It felt like an emotional hole, so wide open and sore. She feared about living the rest of her life, filling up that hole, whether she would successfully complete her mission or not.
MKDragon started to do her prayers, and then went to sleep, for there was much more expected of her down the long process of training…
