ultimate mk3 has more characters, that is the only difference.

Wow, that sure was un-true.

There are alot of gameplay differences, moves added, Codes changed/added/removed, 2 on 2 Kombat added and alot more.

In the end just another MK3 which includes characters from MK1 and MK2

Wow I cannot believe an MK fan said such a thing. I take personal offense to it.

There are so many things different about UMK3 it's really quite amazing, if you actually played both games, most of the stuff you'll notice right away.

Damage for certain characters being reduced, projectile recovery time increased for certain characters, adding the jump punch and jump kick starters for auto combos, added characters, stages, codes, hidden characters, victory rewards, computer AI is entirely different, added moves for some characters, roundhouses push you out of the corner, added combos for some characters, slight changes on certain move properties.

Here are some specifics:

Kabal combo damage reduced by about 10% total
Kabal's spin can only be done once per combo, so you can spin in air, and then spin them again as they fall.
Jax single missile has huge recharge time.
Stryker has a riot gun (added move)
Sonya and Liu Kang have pop up combos (Making Sonya even more dangerous)
Sonya's leg grab now counts as part of a combo, and does 5%-2.5% after 3 hits or more juggled instead of full damage (In MK3 HP HP JK, Leg grab 4 hits 50%, 33% in UMK3)
Sub-zero's ice clone, does not freeze an opponent if you are too close to them, and this was an ENORMOUSLY ridiculous abusable tactic in MK3 that completely drops the character's tier level down.
Kung Lao's spin collision box is entirely weak in MK3 and doesn't turn on damage protection.
Cyrax's air throw doesn't count as part of a combo and his regular throw doesn't turn on damage protection, count as part of a combo, and does far more damage in MK3. (MK3 throw, LP juggle, air throw 3 hits 43%, 3 hits 17% in UMK3 but says 33%)
Nightwolf's shoulder tackle has a very slightly longer recovery time in MK3 I believe, could be my mind playing tricks on me.
Liu Kang can legitamately get his 7 hit combo after the bicycle kick in MK3 and cannot in UMK3
The corner roundhouse thing makes combos like 5 roundhouses in one from Kabal possible which is INsane. aa RH spin, RH, RH, RH, RH, LK = 100%

There's probably other stuff I'm forgetting, but, yeah other than that stuff, I guess UMK3 is the exact same as MK3 except for the added characters. Crying or Very sad

- Kung Lao has a infinite in Umk3. (not mentioning the pop-up ones)
- Nightwolf's Arrow comes out hella fast if the opponent is in the air.
- A.I. was dramaticly increased (or decreased hehe) they became insane after 2 matches won.
- help me out.

By mentioning that Kung Lao's spin has better collision boxes, that leaves it open to better combos, not only does he have infinites, but he has variable infinites, you can combo the spin off just about any attack in the corner.

Nightwolf's arrow doesn't come out fast when the person is in the air, it comes out fast if it's done within like 1 clock second of another move, so if you uppercut someone, the instant they hit the ground, do his arrow and it practically appears infront of them, or do two arrows in a row and the second one is fast, they made it red in MKT to sort of signify that it's part of a combo of sorts, same with his axe.

I also mentioned the AI change about the computer. In UMK3, you can win matches against the computer by dancing back and forth a half screen from them, and they'll never attack you. That was intentional, there are also about a half dozen other methods of beating the comp.

Kano also has a vertical cannon ball in UMK3, which is very helpful and makes him more Blanka like.

Actually, Nightwolfs arrow comes out fast, when they are on the other side of the screen. if they are not on the opposite edge of the screen, it doesnt do it. heh

No, that's not how it works, Nightwolf's arrow comes out fast after any move is connected and done immediately after that move except for a standing LK and HK, or certain moves whiffed, or blocked, it's not an air or proximity rule, just move conditions, like an anti air HK, the axe, an arrow etc. You must just have coincidentally done another move before it and not realized.
