I've started writing this a few weeks ago, and wrote it directly from my head, onto the main forum that I go to. I started writing this first, before the "#mortalkombat" stuff. This is something I've been really proud of lately. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoy writing the story!  Comments are greatly appreciated. By the way, I wrote the prologue when it was 1 AM in the morning, lol, just thought I'd mention that.
Noob Saibot: The Shadow Demon Speaks
PROLOGUE:
I am Noob Saibot, an expert in shadows and darkness. I'm not quite what you'd call a human ninja, but a shadow demon ninja. I love to mingle with the darkness. The night is my best friend...
I roam where ever I please, stealthily. I work as a spy for my darklord master, Shinou. He is the master of darkness. I was randomly picked for spying on whoever or whatever he wanted me to spy on. It was just luck.
My master had summoned me just yesterday in the dark realm, somewhere within the different dimensions of Earth. I'm sure you've heard of Outworld, which is another dimension of Earth. I was there to not only incognito as a warrior, but spy on the events of the tournament called Mortal Kombat. I've participated in a few annual tournaments until I was told to retire. To tell you the truth, I had a blast in Outworld! And I'd love to go back for more challenges. Unfortunately, my free will is limited.
Back then before I first came to Outworld, Master Shinou first discovered how to go from realm to realm. There is always a dark spot in a portal, so I can squeeze through. Where I live, well, it's simply just called the Dark Realm. A world that's absolute darkness to those that are not residents. Nothing grows there. There is only the soil, my master's castle, and the darkness. A non shadow being would be blind and would not last for very long alive. I, Noob Saibot the ultamite spy of all darkness, can see totally through my world. I have a natural and supreme ability to see everything in the dark. Most shadow demons can't see when there is light, but lucky for me I was in Outworld for a few years, and adjusted to light. I can see well then, as well as when it is dark.
At a certain time in the last 24 hours in the Dark Realm, I was summoned for a new job. To go to Earth. I've been to Earth maybe once, during the years of being with the Outworlders. Fascinating place, and there were plenty of dark spaces for me to hide in. And there was advanced weaponry and technology there too. I was kind of excited in going back there. Oh I love my job, and being loyal to my darklord master. I get to go places where no other shadow demon has gone before! Very exciting times for me.
When I arrived at Master Shinou's palace for a visit, he said slowly in his deep, insightful voice, "Noob Saibot, I have a new job for you." I felt eager inside, so I exclaimed, "Yes Master! I will serve your every command, even if it means to the end of me!"
"Good. You say you've been to Earth once, when old Emporer Shao Kahn opened a portal from Outworld."
"You are correct my lord."
"Well, I feel you should go to Earth again for a long period of time until I call you back here. I want you to focus on whatever or whomever you choose. I'm interested in hearing more about Earth."
When I'm away from home, Master Shinou may call me back by making his inner evil spirit telepathically connect to mine. That's when I'm done with a mission.
"Saibot, go to Earth now. When I call you back here, you should have lots of information for me. Like you, I'd also like to adjust to 'light' as you so call it."
"Well, that's what I was told my lord."
Shindou's eyes dimmly brightened as he demanded, "Quit fooling around and go to Earth." Without a word, I found the nearest portal I could find, which was located a few meters away from Master Shinou's dark castle. I leaped through the dark hole and transported away from my home dimension.
I landed on a soft patch of ground known as grass. Lucky it was night, and no one saw me. If an Earth worlder saw me, then I'd have to kill the one who's done so. I must never be seen and captured, or my entire race would be doomed. We like to live in secret.
Well, I stood on my own two feet and looked around. It was a "house". A three dimensional rectangular building that's not as tall as my master's castle is known as a house or home. I learn fast in new places, and have quite a long term memory of a lot of things. Of whatever is required of me to do.
Strange... I sensed some abnormal telepathic signature around this house. I knew it couldn't be my master, because I just got here. I had found my target to spy on...

Don't be confused. This chapter is a different point of view. From now on in making author notes, I'll use this color.
Chapter 1:
Inside the house, last bedroom at the hall, Midnight
I must have been dreaming because I was in a field of bright red flowers. It was some kind of prairie, and I only saw one tree. There was a heavy wind that blew my long curly hair out of my face. It wasn't like a hurricane wind, but more like a medium heavy breeze that blew on and on. I walked up to the tree and stood beside it. I looked around, and the air around me was acting strange. When I focused hard enough, I saw the outline of a person, mostly invisible to this prairie.
Then the dream suddenly ended, just like that. I stirred a bit and turned over in my sleep. I tried to sleep some more, but I couldn't. I didn't know why. I sensed... something. I couldn't put my finger on what it was. I was just tired... I didn't want to figure out what it was. Then I just couldn't sleep anymore. I didn't know why. This strange disturbance was nearby me and awfully strong. So, I crawled out of bed and reached for the light switch in my room. "Ah..." I softly moaned to myself. I was blinded for a split second when I turned the light on.
For the time being while I was awake, I played some Playstation or what not. Crash Bandicoot. I was on one of the harder levels, so I didn't get really far without getting extra lives in the first level first. So I quickly gave up and decided to blast some music on the headphones of my CD walkman. When I got tired again, I put my CD, headphones, and walkman back where they were and slept until the morning. Whatever
it was that kept me awake, I didn't feel it anymore...
I could feel one of my kittens walk all over me as I was trying to sleep for a little more. Peppy, just a few more minutes, I thought to myself. She kept walking back and forth on me, and knitted her claws on my pillow dog every now and then.
When I did finally wake up, I gave my kittens, Peppy and Angel, their treats, and filled their bowl up with dried catfood. We were using Kitten Chow now, because lately my mom didn't find any Iams kitten food. Oh well...
I said hey to mom and dad. They were their usual selves, caring and my dad was playfully teasing the rest of us often. My dad's a goofy guy, and from time to time, he can be a bit annoying. As well as my mom. I usually ignore those things, ha ha... I only make comebacks when I want to. And I was just waking up, so at this time, I just wanted to eat, and maybe go online or something. Blah, today was just a random day, with nothing really big happening.
I had pushed last night's disturbance from my thoughts. I had no clue what it was, and couldn't think up any good theories or thoughts about it in general.
Downstairs in the computer room, I stretched in my chair and logged onto Earthlink, which has not constantly crashed on me since we got the Windows XP computer. I checked my email, then looked up a walkthrough for Crash Bandicoot on gameFAQs...
Noob Saibot
Yes, the telepathic signature had come from this human I hide in her shadow as of now. She didn't notice me of course, but I could look up at her from the shadows on the "carpet." That night, she was restless. I had much to learn about this female Earth worlder indeed.
She was at the device known as a computer, typing away at something. It was irrelevant. What I wanted to know was why she had a telepathic mind. The other Earth worlders apparently do not have this ability.
The female then stopped typing and paused for a few moments, staring blankly at the computer's screen. She stretched her arms once more and yawns. "Hmm..." she mumbled and began to turn off the computer. I assumed that she was bored. She stood up away from the chair, and another Earth worlder, an exact copy of the female, appeared out of nowhere. "Take over for me." she silently whispered as I managed to stay with her, hidden in her shadow as we transported to someplace different.
We were alone, on a wide "plain" of grass and other vegetation. She didn't move for a moment, then transformed quickly into a bird. I, in her shadow, fluently followed the change.
The large bird had a hooked beak, mostly white feathers with a small gold crest that curved upward. There were circles of red around the eyes. A magnificent creature! I saw nothing like it. Did she create this bird?
The now changed form took flight as I remained below on the ground, following in her shadow, watching. She soared with such natural grace as any "hawk" or "eagle" on Earth. I saw her form shrink as she soared higher into the light blue sky. She took a fast dive, then regained the soaring position again.
This was purely fascinating! Fate led me to the right person. My master will be intrigued by the Earth worlder, and I'll gain much more respect than ever! This was excellent, just perfect. I wouldn't have asked for anything more...
After a long while, she landed and changed shape again. Back to her normal form. She settled herself down on the grass. I slightly moved out from underneath to look up at the Earth worlders face. I still didn't know her name, but I would find out soon enough. I will soon know everything there is to know about her. I have plenty of time to learn, and absorb knowledge quickly into my brain.

Chapter 2:
Noob Saibot
When the Earth worlder female had changed back to normal, she just stood still. I found this to be unusual. I looked up as she closed her eyes and was concentrating on something. I didn't know what. I wasn't a mind reader, but I could sense a little bit of that telepathic force that I had felt from her last night.
She opened her eyes and looked lost and confused over something. It puzzled me... There was another moment of nothing until I felt her telepathic powers, detecting me! She caught me red handed, so I had to emerge out of hiding within her shadow. No one must know about me! I raged in my mind, and started to attack.
I seeped into the ground quickly, using the power of darkness to my advantage and then instantly grabbed her from beneath, and slammed her onto the dirt. She was unaware of my surprise attack, just as I've planned, but this human was smart. She morphed into a reptilian creature and in a blur, she bounced off of my head and stunned me.
That's when I woke up. No no no! She is the one thing you are most interested in about Earth! Wake up you fool! You don't want to kill your own targets for spying! I couldn't move anyway, because this clever, and powerful Earth worlder had enclosed me in a force field of blue light and changed back to human.
"Now that was uncalled for!" she said, not happy at all about being attacked like that. "Who are you?! Why are you here?!" I was more relaxed than she was, but not happy about being caught otherwise. "I want answers Earth worlder. How are you so powerful? How are you so telepathic with teleporting powers and the ability to change into animals?" I demanded. She huffed out a breath of air and scoffed, "And why should I give a damn to answer to you?"
She was demanding as well as I, and there was no way out of this. "You are important to my research of Earth, human." I answered back in a rough manner. "You, and all of the Earth Realm are of great importance to my master." "So you can DESTROY it?!" she shouted, having the urge to kill me. "No..." I said calmly. "Master Shinou only wants to know more about the Earth Realm, not to destroy it. Our home world is another hidden dimension apart and is within Earth." The young human placed her hands on her hips. "You're expecting me to believe that?" I seemed to be calming down more and more as I talked. "If I were lying, I would have abducted you by now, without mercy." I admitted.
"I was sent as a spy, and I felt your telepathic energy, from your home area. I chose to investigate. I will be on Earth for a long period of time and don't expect to be back to my master anytime soon. I am Noob Saibot, a soldier of darkness. A shadow ninja." She breathed intensely as I told her who I was. "Your turn Earth worlder." I said. "It's time you told me about yourself, but first: do not ever mention me or my people to anyone. Us shadow demons prefer to live in secret. If you break this promise, I will kill you. I won't even have second thoughts about it next time."
The human female's blue eyes glared on me as the wind blew some of her long brown hair away from her face. "I am Marianne Elizabeth Barbara Markham. I wasn't born with these powers you know. I was chosen by a supreme being of light to have such abilities so I could save Earth one day..." She then hesitated. "You may tell your master about this, but no one else. If I keep you a secret, you'll have to bargain to promise me to not tell anyone or let anyone know about it but you and your master." Marianne added. I nodded. "Deal..." I said as she set me free.
"If you are truly destined to save Earth, then I'd have no choice but to be an ally, because of my home realm." I confessed to her. She cocked her eyebrows and sighed. "Well, the more the merrier I guess..." she replied, letting her statement hang. Slowly, her tension of me was beginning to wear off. Let me tell you something though: don't expect me to befriend Marianne. I have no friends that are outside my home dimension. I'm a loner at times like these. I only tolerated her, not wanting to be her trusting companion.
We stood our ground a short distance from each other, exchanging expressions. "I forgive you." she said to me. "I was a little hot tempered, but you would feel the same way if you were me." "Yes, I would." I said, agreeing with her statement. Then there was a short pause.
"So, Noob Saibot shadow guy, you're going to study Earth, huh?"
"That is what I plan to do, Marianne."
"Well, alright then. It's fine with me."
I then gave her a snide expression through my eyes. "I'm not here to socialize. I have orders to obey. " "Fine," Marianne responded without a word against me. "I guess I shall assist you then. In my home though, there aren't just obligations to abide by. There is the 'fun' over here too." she added in consideration. "Show me." I said. "Show me everything you know."

After a couple days or so of "writer's block" I've finally had an inspiration, reading the original MK novel and I was just listening to my MK soundtracks on CDs and think I'll have Reptile featured in this chapter! I might include Scorpion and Sub-Zero later, I dunno... Comments at any time are appreciated! Edit: fixed small errors.
Chapter 3:
Meanwhile on another part of Calvert County, Maryland...
Somewhere in Prince Frederick, located near Marianne's home area of Calvert County, Maryland, an invisible enigma was roaming the streets, out for something amusing. This creature had come from the demon realm of Outworld. By the time before it escaped from Outworld, there was hardly anyone left. The majority of the demons who lived in the dimension had their souls collected to keep the portal open and big enough for the man sized killer to break through. One dressed in black and green. Reptile.
Shao Kahn and Shang Suntg were murdered and long gone by their betraying servant. Along with the other souls, they were sealed in a wine bottle, something Reptile found during his last travels in Outworld. A few others were spared or had escaped. They broke into Earth along with him. Now that he was in the Earth Realm, which Outworlders called the Mother Realm, who knew what the reptilian ninja would do there. He landed somewhere on China when he first broke free, and jumped onto a ship without anyone noticing, using his invisibilty technique. As for the lost souls that followed him, who knew where they were...
The boat was docked somewhere in New York City, from there Reptile traveled south. Whenever he was hungry, he'd feed on animals. And if he was interested in a little bigger prey, he'd lure small human children toward an area where no one else was around and THEN... Well, let's just say those few kids were not lucky at all to encounter Reptile...
Now, he was in Southern Maryland, wondering if he should travel any farther. He felt stuck and puzzled on where he should really stay. He was the only one of his kind to ever exist, so there was no way he'd be able to bring his own race back, unless he was a scientist. But he was not. As for Reptile, he'd still live for a very long time. Unsure of what fate had in store for him, Reptile decided to settle in Calvert County, a mostly peaceful area of towns and cities.
In the town of Prince Frederick, where Ledo's Pizza, a car wash, and other shops were, Reptile was getting to know his new territory. As a matter of fact, he wasn't sure how large of a space he needed for a territory to claim as his own. Little did he know that someone on Earth lived around this area. One who was much more powerful than he was, but certainly not the quickest to think on her feet. Reptile, was the quickest, and the most sneaky of all to go and live in this town.
Invisible to all around him, the reptilian figure walked toward the front windows of Ledo's Pizza, and other places and looked through them. He saw the different humans eating and interacting with other people as they moved about. Someone was coming out of Ledo's and was walking Reptile's way. Acting fast, Reptile dodged to stand right beside the window of the italian eatery as a tall man in a grey suit and tie walked past him, not noticing a thing different in his surroundings. Reptile intended it to be that way. He wished to live in secret without being discovered by anyone. For now, it seemed hopeless and less entertaining for Reptile to live for another decade or so. But this creature didn't believe in suicide. He just went on surviving.
When the man was long gone from his sight, Reptile had moved on. He was heading to a place less busy. Prince Frederick would be an amusing place to explore maybe, but not quite stay there permanently. Too many humans roamed there. Too much "cattle" for him to handle. Hopping onto the back of a white pickup truck, he started going south on Route 4.
Reptile, still invisible to everyone else, got off the truck when it turned on Mackall Road, in Broomes Island, St. Leonard. It seemed less active for him, besides the different vehicles traveling up and down. Yes, he chose to live among Broomes Island. The neighborhood where he would meet up with a human rather special eventually...
Reptile climbed a tree on Mackall Rd to get a better view of things. Other than cars, he saw people walking their dogs. Reptile eyed the dogs as maybe future fresh meat for him, whenever he got hungry. Fortunately for the dog population in Broomes Island, he wasn't hungry right now. He also saw dark skinned children playing with each other, and their toys. Even more fresh meat.
The reptilian animal climbed down the tree, and walked on to explore, staying on the side of the road of course. He didn't want to get hit by an oncoming vehicle. When he reached Peace Court Road, his own feet were sore from walking so long. So he sat on the front lawn of house 2060, watching his surroundings. He pulled at a piece of grass, ripping it from the the ground, and let it fall from his fingers...
Marianne
This Noob Saibot character was one I've never seen before. I never even knew that Earth could hold different dimensions. Now it's something I'd look forward to in the future sometime. While revealing my hometown, I spoke to the shadow ninja in thought speak.
<Well, that was Prince Frederick.> I told him. <An interesting place.> Noob Saibot replied, in the same way of communication. <Yeah, very interesting...> I leered, while holding a bag of CDs I got from Walmart and K-Mart. Ha ha, fun for both of us!
Noob Saibot, was telepathic too, but not as much as I was. <So much activity we've seen today.> <Yup, Earth is pretty lively.> I said. <More lively than Outworld.> he muttered. <Outworld?> I wondered. The creature within my own shadow answered, <Another dimension I've been to before. Obligations of the past.> <Ah,> I said, sort of understanding. <How many dimensions are there on this planet?> <My kind doesn't know. There may be our world, Earth, and Outworld only, or maybe several more. Well my master and I will discover all.> said Noob Saibot.
When I flew back home in the form of a bald eagle, without anyone noticing me morph of course, I landed on a branch of a tree closest to my house. <Marianne, I sense someone...> <What, the kids?> <No, I can smell that this new being is from Outworld, and he cannot be seen by our eyes alone.>
Hmm, I thought to myself, and used my inafred vision ablity, not changing the bald eagle's look of its fierce eyes. I saw some guy, not warm blooded, sit in the front lawn of my house. If he/she were warm blooded, the person would be red. This unknown being was blue. I became aware of that now as my vision became "normal" again. <There is a guy there! I don't think it's human, or even warm blooded.> <Reptile!> Noob Saibot suspected. <Wha? You know this dude?> <I've fought him in a tournament in Outworld before... He's so quick as a fighter. If you ever cross paths with him, I hope your speed is quick enough to match his...> <I'm fast! I could take him on if I wanted to. How dangerous is this Reptile?> <Very dangerous Marianne. Not only is he quick and has stealthy abilities, but he has acidic venom spit. Very painful to the face. Blinding to the eyes.>
I changed my bird of prey vision back to infared. He didn't move. I thought spoke to him, <Hey, Reptile!> He looked around for the voice in his head. <Look up at the tree. What are you doing at my house?> I saw the invisible figure look up at me in the infared. He looked blue through it. He was walking up to the tree, climbing up. <Watch it now bub, I don't want to poke any eyes out with this here beak or talons.> I warned the creature from Outworld. Whatever that was.
He was going to try and yank me down from the tree. Too slow!! I took high to the air and aimed my talons toward his head. I dived! As fast as lighting, Reptile grabbed me and we fell to the ground! "Tseeer!" I shrieked and tried to poke his eyes out, but got tossed in the air.
I teleported us back to the secret plain I first met Noob Saibot in. <What are you doing?!> Noob Saibot demanded. <I'm gonna show him who's boss!!> I yelled, transforming into my human form. <Ha ha, good luck. That's all I have to say.> the dark shadow within teased.
DUN DUN DUN... will Marianne be defeated? Will Reptile learn his lesson not to mess with her? Find out next time, in chapter 4!

HERE WE GO! The battle that we've all been waiting for! Reptile VS Marianne. Would Noob Saibot help his "guide" in fighting? Does he care? Let's find out. As Shao Kahn would say... SHAO KAHN: "Round 1...FIGHT!" *claps for Kahn, as he takes a bow.* he's so good at that. Hey Kahny, stick around for a while, you could be useful... Sorry I didn't paste this sooner! I was busy for a while on stuff...
Chapter 4:
No POV, in other words, The Narrator...
The human with extreme super natural abilities, and the former reptilian servant of Outworld, have come face to face for the first time. Marianne was tense, while Reptile was even more tense, in discovering this human who could change into animals and teleport.
"Most certainly not from Outworld, I killed them all." Reptile suspected, thinking it over for a second. "Confused are you?" Marianne asked sarcastically with a snide look. "Well, let's just say that my shadow told me..." With that, Noob Saibot emerged. "Noob Saibot..." Reptile said as he knew instantly of the dark shadow ninja. "Reptile..." Noob Saibot acknowledged him with a nod. "Oh, don't let me stop you. This is her fight," he added. "I'd love to see how she would be against you, ha ha..."
Reptile faced his original oponent once again, eyes open for a challenge. Marianne said, "I easily outsmarted the Noob in one second. Don't think I will go easy on you for tresspassing." Reptile respected her words, and reason for attack. He knew he would have been the same way if they switched places.
"Ah, you may be more powerful, but are you quick enough?" Reptile mused as he made his first move. Marianne thought quick and used a crystalic energy wall to make him back off. Reptile landed catlike on his feet and stood again.
Reptile of course wasn't baffled. He's encountered beings as powerful as her and survived. Her defensive motive reminded him of Rayden, the Thunder God.
Reptile jumped again, faster, trying to jump kick, which was blocked. Marianne thought as quickly as possible and grabbed his foot the second it bounced off her arms, which kinda hurt. She flipped him over as Reptile landed face down on his side of the grass. Taking this to his advantage, he leg sweeped her and gave two quick low punches, followed by a roundhouse kick. Marianne couldn't dodge that. It was almost a blur to her eyes, but no matter. It was nothing.
She retaliated with a leap onto his shoulders and was about to attempt a flip kick in his back from behind. The first time was unsuccessful because Reptile grabbed her feet. Marianne yanked off Reptile's mask, which caused him to let her go. The moment of shock she took advantage of, and flip kicked him in the back and this time, was successful.
Turning around, Marianne's left hand held the Outworlder's mask. Turning around to face her Reptile mused, "So now you know what my true fasssse looksss like." He hissed as he spoke. What she had seen was a green lizard head, revealing yellow eyes and a pink forked tongue and saliva drooled from his lips and sharp teeth. A drop of it burned down and chewed up a small patch of the grassy plain, a small puff of smoke releasing. The trance, everyone falls for it whenever they see my true face for the first time, Reptile thought as he was making his next move.
Marianne realized what was happening, and only a bit of his acidic venom touched just below her right eye as she ducked. "AH! OW!!!" Marianne yelped as Reptile took this advantage to slide and to toss her behind him. Cold water, BURN!!! Marianne demanded secretly to her powers as she felt a tear of cold water drip down and wash away Reptile's deadly projectile. She was very lucky she didn't go blind in one eye.
"Oh, now that just made me mad... No more going easy on YOU." Marianne said as she morphed a different form in a matter of two seconds. Reptile didn't talk, for he knew that would slow him down and prepared to block what she had in store for him. To his surprise, she morphed a reptilian, but not exactly like him. The scales varied in colors from brown along her head and back, white along from under her, with black stripes. She jumped and bounced on his head, revealing to the observing Noob Saibot in the few feet of distance he had set for himself, because he knew that this was going to be a gruesome fight. What he had just seen was the feathered crest on the back of the head when Marianne had changed into her lizard form.
Only it was not completely lizard, but velociraptor. The big claws, one on each middle toe she used to spill green blood from Reptile's right shoulder. She clawed into him as Reptile kicked her off him and jumped back, stunned for a moment. Marianne dashed for her opponent showing claws and teeth, but the other lizard knew that was coming and grabbed her, tossing her over his head. Landing a kick in her behind.
Marianne snarled fiercely and let part of her morph's instincts take over. She named this morph Talon, an exact replica of the raptor she saw in a movie once. "You have jussst made yourssself more vulnerable." Reptile hissed from behind, and said nothing more as he was going attack from behind. Marianne waited and felt the exact time to move as she dug her claws into Reptile's arms as she said to him in thought speak, <Wrong.> and twisted around, making more cuts on her tresspasser's body. She bit down hard around his jugular vein, cracking some bones, then released.
Reptile fell onto his back as the blood gushed, causing to cover it up with his hands. She patiently waited for him to get up. "That wassss very good..." he managed to say in a raspy voice. It became hard to bend his neck, but that didn't stop Reptile. He wasn't going down THAT easy.
He lunged again, his weight against hers. His weight won and tackled her to the ground. Marianne held his head back from biting her in the face, using her three fingers and used a claw on the middle toe to slash into where the intestines would be located. <You're forgetting who has the upper claw. How careless of you.> she said, claw in his gut. Reptile pushed backed and howled in pain as he did.
"Now you remind me of Ssssshhhhang Tssssung..." Reptile said, in his hissing way of speech. As for the mask, Marianne had let go of it when Reptile fired a projectile of his acidic venom. It laid on the ground, and out of the way of the two fighters.
<I don't care about the Shang whatever.> Marianne said. <Now, prepare to be amazed...> With that, she began to pull a Frantic Fury, spinning with, claws and teeth towards Reptile. Too bad for her, because she was moving too slow! Reptile took the moment to spit at her again, and all the spinning stopped. His venom had landed on the back of her head. <AH! STUPID!> She scolded herself, and tried again, only much faster. Success. After the spinning sea of claws and teeth afflicted upon him, Reptile had lost count of the scratches and bites recieved.
Noob Saibot, from watching, knew they were an exact match and didn't know how much longer the battle would last. He was sure impressed though of his "guide" in showing him all of Earth. Saibot was suprised of the morph Marianne had up her sleeve. She would live.
As for Reptile, he was baffled! The match was finally over. "Very impresssive... I never met an opponent that hasss beaten me asss quickly assss you." Reptile hissed. Marianne remained in morph, standing proud. "Even Noob Ssssaibot issn't asss fassst asss we are." Saibot, hearing this, knew definitely that the match was over. He walked up to the two, and said to Marianne, "I'm just as amazed as Reptile. Well done..." he pressed, giving her abilities some extra praise. "Now, kill him."
Marianne had changed back to her human form. "No," she said. "I'm not that type of person. I say let him live." "Very well then." Noob Saibot replied, not wanting to argue. Heh heh, he's afraid of getting his own ass kicked, Marianne thought to herself and stifled back the urge to snicker.
Reptile staggered to his feet, putting on his mask to remain low profile. The hissing became no more. His whole form was filled with the damage inflicted upon him. "I think it's time for you to appologize," Marianne said, waiting patiently for an apology. "Then apologize I do..." Reptile replied honestly. "I shall never do that again. But why don't you just kill me and put me out of my misery?" With that, Marianne closed her eyes, too kind to let him be like that. When she opened them, all of Reptile's wounds were gone. With that, Reptile knelt down on one knee, head facing the ground. "Please forgive me, for I'm only a fool with no future ahead of me. I'm the only one of my kind."
Noob Saibot looked at Marianne in disbelief. She just had a kind and caring spirit, that's all. Her religion has a hymn, which goes. "Bring your friends close, but bring your enemies closer."
Reptile, not knowing what to do, turned toward his instincts. And his instincts in his intelligent mind told him, Serve her. Marianne, smiling nervously, said in an uneasy tone of voice, "Okay, you can get up now..." Reptile stood as he was told and looked his new future master. "I'm forever in your debt, and shall serve you until death comes for you." Marianne felt at first confused. Was it just her imagination, or did he actually say that? "Um...pardon?" she replied, unsure. "He wants to be your slave," Noob Saibot put it bluntly. Marianne glared at him and then back to Reptile. "That is true... I served Shao Kahn and Shang Suntg of Outworld for most of my life, and I'll be damned if that's how I have to live for the rest of my long ahead life." Marianne frowned in pity for Reptile, knowing slavery is just wrong.
She turned her back from the other two beings for a moment, and sat down. "Is something wrong?" Reptile asked, a little concerned of what his master thinks of him. "Well, yeah..." Marianne said, sitting up against the tree. "It's illegal here for slavery, and I think slavery is wrong. So...you can go on your merry way." Marianne concluded, feeling she's done the right thing for both of them. "But, I don't know where to go, and cannot possibly make it out here on my own." Marianne thought about it again. He could stay as a friend, if he insists on being so devoted to me.
"Well? We don't have all day." Noob Saibot said rudely. Does he ever have a heart for anything? "Reptile..." Marianne began. "If you really insist on being with me, okay, but not as a slave. More like a friend, a companion." Reptile nodded. "So I have free will?" "Sure!" Marianne said. "That's what America's all about, this country we're in." "Congratulations," Saibot said sarcastically. "You have a new friend, now let's go."
Wow, what a long chapter! lol. Hope ya like it. I enjoyed writing this, very much! What do you think Kahny? SHAO KAHN: "...It's good. Interesting, I suppose..." Ha ha, what a modest guy!

Soo, now Reptile is Marianne's companion. That's cool. But is Marianne really okay with it? And how about that Noob Saibot? What are his thoughts? Well, let's find out! By the way, where'd Kahny go?! :*(
Chapter 5:
Noob Saibot
"Congratulations, you have a new friend, now let's go." I said annoyingly. Marianne paused and took a glare. Reptile followed her gaze. Reptile, that worthless creature! What good would he be as her companion? It's PATHETIC. I would have killed him myself, but oh well. It's her choice. She had too much of a heart to put the once wounded lizard out of his misery.
"Look who's crabby..." Marianne said in a snide tone of voice. "Can we get moving, Marianne?" I demanded calmly, getting bored of just standing around. She raised one of her eyebrows at me in suspicion, then teleported the three of us back to her home. "I think I had enough excitement for now, I'm getting hungry." she mumbled, then smiled and looked around for a second, because obviously Reptile was invisible again. He wants to remain unrevealed as much as I do, since I hid within Marianne's shadow once again. She had the ability to see Reptile, so, she looked beside her.
She smiled and said, "Our small battle gave me an appetite, how about you?" "How are you able to see me?" Reptile whispered, so no one else could hear him. "I have infared vision abilities." She then sighed. "Let's go inside." She walked in, held the door open for a second for Reptile to walk on through, then closed the doors behind us. Instantly, a sandwich appeared in her hand. I've learned what those were when Marianne and I arrived in the city "Prince Frederick." There were "Fast Food Restaurants" all over the place.
Marianne took a bite out of the sandwich, as she made another appeared in Reptile's hand. I couldn't see it, but I predicted it. "Is this food?" he whispered softly in surprise of what had appeared.. "It's a baloney and cheese sandwich. What's the matter, you didn't have one before?" she asked, in a very low voice. "No, I havent..." Reptile said, just before a bite mark appeared on the edge of the sandwich. "Thissss...this is quite good." Reptile said, taking his mouth piece of his mask off, making that hissing noise he does, then his speech is human again, only with a mouthful of food.
They ate quickly as they we went upstairs. We followed her to a window of the house. "Okay, my mom and dad are at work still. You can reveal yourself if you want." Marianne suggested to Reptile. He did so, finishing off his snack. I also appeared in my original form, out of her shadow once again.
"Now that you ate something-" "No, I'm still kinda hungry." Marianne said, cutting me off. She was starting to annoy me. "What more do you want? If you want to explore more, just go. Don't let me stop you." "Alright, then I will!" I said furiously. I seeped under the front door without anything more. With that Reptile around, she's become less cooperative. But she was right. I had my own free will, and didn't need to be by her side at all times.
I seeped through the front door and decided to go in the opposite direction of where Prince Frederick was. I hid in the shadows of different vehicles as I went on my journey to find out more about Earth. I had to retrieve lots of information, for my master's sake! I didn't want to disappoint him.
When going along south of a "highway", I found a sign that pointed to the left. "Rousby Hall Road" it read. I decided to head there. I found more small homes, then, a big building that read "Patuxent High School" A school! I wasn't really schooled much when I was a young shadow demon, and never went to big structures like the Patuxent High building. I arrived by seeping through the front glass doors, hiding immediately in a shadow of someone that walked by. We walked into a room, and I looked around from my little hiding space, there were young humans in front of us, singing. The student handed in a green slip of paper, then stood with his other peers. He began singing as well. A vocaling class? I thought. Very interesting.
I stayed with the young male as he studied through the rest of his classes.
Math, science, and a class that taught events of Earth's historical past. I noticed that in between classes, a sound would signal dismissal of one class, and the beginning of another. Now, I wondered why... Didn't they know when class was over? Are they all hearing impaired? But it seemed the students heard their instructors very clearly. It puzzled me.
When the last "period" ended, as I've learned by overhearing small discussions from the human youths around me, I felt it was time to go elsewhere. I jumped from one shadow to the next, careful to not let anyone notice me. Outside, at the "parking lot", it was very crowded. If I wasn't very cautious of my movement, they all would see me.
I went the direction I kept going, not backwards to Marianne and her "pet." I didn't know when I would return, but perhaps maybe when I felt I had enough...

"That ignorant shadow can come and go as he pleases." I said to Reptile, who sat beside me on my bed. I played some music for the both of us, some Incubus, just for fun. My CD player was in Reptile's lap, to keep it from falling off the bed. "That Saibot character doesn't NEED to hold my hand all the time." I smirked. "Maybe he's jealous that you're a part of our company..." Reptile calmly replied, "That is not like him. He's just impatient on events. He never likes to stay in one spot for long."
"So, was it easy? You know, in a tournament against Noob Saibot?" I wondered, curious to know more of his past history on encountering the dark enigma. The reptilian ninja's expression hadn't changed. It seemed that he kind of pitied Saibot or something. Hell, I didn't know.
"It was challenging match against him for the first time. I almost lost, for he's quicker than he thinks he is. But he still wasn't able to match my speed."
"Well, after hearing your short stories of slavery, you don't have to worry about those things anymore."
"No, I don't..."
I crossed my legs in an Indian style and faced him. "What do you think of my Incubus CD? I have other artists, but I just felt like listening to some Incubus first." Reptile paused, not knowing what to say. "Well, it doesn't suck, right?" Reptile thought about it, replying, "My old master, Shao Kahn said that word 'suck', and it means something bad. Well, 'Incubus' is not bad." I laughed. "As you can see, I like music. I'd have to teach you about it." Reptile nodded as I added, "And you'll have to teach me to be fast as you, you know, just in case something faster comes my way, wanting me dead." "Of course, it would be my pleasure." he said. "I'd suggest you should learn anyway."
I couldn't stop grinning. From being a servant of the past, he seemed so polite. It's funny to have made friends with someone who nearly blinded me in one eye by his acidic venom. I would have said that to him, but that could result in him apologizing again.
"Question," Reptile began. "What name should I call you by?" I smiled and replied in my friendly manner, "You may call me by my real name, Marianne. Just remember, you are no longer a slave to anyone. This is the United States of America dude. And I don't like being really bossy towards anyone!" "Right," he said. I then skipped to track 12 on Incubus's "Make Yourself." The song "Pardon Me" started playing. "I love this song..." I told my cool companion. "Pardon me while I burst... Pardon me while I burst."
When that was over, Reptile commented, "I can't sing a note. You on the other hand, are pretty good." I winked and we both laughed. Then I stood up off my bed.

For the rest of the time, I gave Reptile a small tour of where I lived. He asked about the different things, like what a movie was, and what each appliance does. He was such a curious one indeed. I didn't mind explaining it all to him though. No biggie.
Then by around 4:30 pm, I heard my mom's car coming by to park. "My mom." I said. Reptile became invisible again once more. I silently sighed. As secret as my powers were from my parents, Reptile had to be a secret too. I had to keep all of this secret because A) The supreme being said so and B) I would never have privacy, ever again.
<I'm back.> a voice said. <Noob Saibot! You startled me!> I answered him in thought speak. <So, where ya been?> <I explored a 'Patuxent High School' in Lusby.> Saibot answered.
<Hey, I graduated from that school!>
<Did you? How interesting... So, how do you like your new pet?>
Before I could answer, I got a hello from my mom. "Hey," I said, acting as casual as possible. My mom didn't even notice about my twice as dark shadow, or the invisible figure nearby me.
When I had time to myself again, I felt angry over the last thing Noob Saibot had said to me. <Just to let you know, Reptile is not a pet. I already have 2 cats, so there. Reptile's just my friend!> Noob Saibot laughed in my head as he said in a sarcastic manner. <Sure he isn't.> <He isn't and that's that!> I insisted. <You're just jealous because you can't have all of my attention.> Saibot didn't say anything more after that. I knew it! I was right! He was jealous. And what could I do about it? I couldn't just ignore Reptile now! Good grief!
By the time I was about to sleep, I used my infared vision to detect where Reptile would sleep. <Where will you be sleeping? Certainly not in my bed!> I joked, as Reptile jumped in surprise. <Hey chill, I'm telepathic. I can use thought speak.> Reptile in the infared nodded slowly as he softly whispered, "I'll sleep in the bookroom." <Ah, okie.> I said. <Hope you can make room in there. G'night.> "Sleep well Marianne." he whispered.
Before I said my prayers, I thought about how he talked. With the mask off, he hissed on the S sound. With the mask on, he didn't. Magic...
<What are you doing Marianne?>
<I'm praying before I go to bed. Got a problem with that?>
<No, I don't.>
I shook my head and finished my prayers, then slept, exhausted of the big day I had.
Kahn: "Were you looking for me?" Yeah! Where the hell have you been?! Kahn: "I'm a busy person in Outworld sometimes! I have to say what goes and what doesn't over there!" Okay okay I forgive you. Well, next time when you need to go, let me know! Kahn: "Will do." Well, that's chapter 5... Chapter 6 I'll work on tomorrow night! later.

Shao Kahn: "Ah, chapter 6 is it? How many chapters will this story have?!" I don't know for sure Kahny... It might be the next longest story I'll write yet! Think I'll throw in Sub-Zero... This Chapter should be pretty interesting... I hope I get some more comments soon. I don't post my chapters as fast on here because the comments are very few.
Chapter 6:
Again, no one's P.O.V. Just the Narrator
Suspicious of the outfit, the cashier of the convience store only gave a short glance to the stranger in the light blue and black ninja suit. Then he went back to reading his paper until the next customer was ready to purchase their load of food, clothing, whatever. It was pretty early in the morning at the time, so it wasn't so crowded. 4 AM. It gave the man at the counter time to think, or occupy his mind.
He took a look at the front page: Children Skeletons Found. It was an interesting article, about a few children in the Northeastern U.S. whose skeletons were hidden in the woods or in some bushes with their shredded clothing beside them. No one had a clue who did this, perhaps some kind of animal. There couldn't have been no possible way for a human being to do this sort of thing, right? Well, they were on the right track, but it still remained a mystery.
The cashier's eyes were wide open in interest and partial fear of this bizzare story. He didn't have any kids or a wife, but he certainly knew that he wouldn't want that to happen to him. What if the beast came to other parts of the country, feasting on more young children and animals who wandered into this terrible omen? That thought slightly scared him a lot.
As for the other person in the store, he wasn't real interested in finding food, or anything. He was only looking around. He, like the beast, was a wanderer. Sub-Zero couldn't just stand in one spot, waiting for something big to happen. That just wasn't like him. He's explored the entire world once, and now he's back in the U.S. again, coincidentally, from New York southeast to somewhere just above north of Calvert County, Maryland. He skimmed among every aisle, then walked out of the store, without even paying attention to the cashier, who said, "Have a good day."
A little past 4 A.M. now. Most parking lots would be empty at this time of day, except for a number who go to fetch a cup of coffee or to pick up a newspaper. Sub-Zero walked toward the side of the highway, and continued to travel south. He's never gone this way before, and wondered what good it would do for him. Whenever he wasn't "needed" in Outworld, he'd be venturing off on his own, or staying on top of an impossible to climb moutain, in a cave. It suited the right climate for him, because he prefered it cold almost all the time. He's been used to it for many years. It also keeps his ice abilities strong and ready to go whenever he felt like using them.
A mysterious character this man was. He didn't take crap from anyone, and whoever got in his way was dead, or close to death. A very few amount of people lived to tell the tale about the ninja who could shoot ice and cold air from his fingertips. The people who hear from them would think they're nuts, Sub-Zero doesn't like to show off his skills, and didn't feel a need to make friends. He was a pure loner, and emotionless being. He never knew how to socialize much with other men and women. For a real long time he didn't. Only he really knew of a few, but wasn't really friends with them. Reptile, Shao Kahn, and Shang Tsung mainly. He could at least tolerate being around them.
Sub-Zero kept walking non stop for a few several miles at a time, and stopped every now and then to give his feet a break. He'd sit and observe his surroundings from time to time. He'd watch others of all ages, interacting and doing other things, but not really care about it. Then he'd keep on walking when his feet weren't so sore as before. He walked across a bridge before the first car was going to cross. A great view of the Patuxent River he had. He didn't know much of the southern Maryland area. He didn't know what he was crossing was the Patuxent River. What the hell did he care about geography anyway?
By the end of the day, he reached Prince Frederick, at the Fox Run. There were different stores: Blockbuster Video, Papa John's, Giant, etc. There was also an AppleBee's he saw. He never went to a fast food resturant, so he wouldn't know. He ate fish, and very small animals that he hunted. Nature was his food source, not a store or anywhere else. He never knew how those places worked, and would feel uncomfortable in crowded areas. Yes, he's really an outsider to the rest of the world. He figures the only company and information that's concerned would be having to do with only himself. Call him selfish, but he wouldn't give a damn.
He passed the Fox Run. A small number of people began staring. A teenage guy, around 16 or 17 years of age, started to walk up beside him. Sub-Zero gave him a look that meant, "Okay, go away now." But obviously the kid didn't get the message. His hair was short and brown. Often used hair gel to spike it up. He was in his favorite Metallica shirt and jeans that had zippers on the pant legs.
"Hey, what's with the clothes man?" he teased, trying to give Sub-Zero a hard time. This ANNOYED him. Sub-Zero for a second ignored him and kept walking, as a warning to the pest. "What, are you deaf? I'm talking to you!" the kid shouted as Sub-Zero made the decision. He decided to terminate him. With a rush of cold energy and ice from one hand, the nosy teenager was a popsicle. "Next time, mind your own business." Sub-Zero said in a snide tone of voice, pushing the frozen figure backwards with a gentle touch. The teensicle broke to pieces.
The people who witnessed the incident began to panic. With a soft inside groan to himself, Sub-Zero threw one of his ninja bombs to the ground and ran. The others around started to cough at the tear gas and other poisons that lurked in the air around them. The innocent bystanders ran off to save themselves from the madman with the power to freeze others.
I decided to start this chapter a little different, and it turned out great! Kahny's still around, he's just sleeping on his throne. It's always busy times for him. Never gets a day off, the poor villain...
Well, I wonder what will happen on ch 7... Hmm, well, that's for later! Oh Yeah, as for the places, Prince Frederick, Lusby, etc, they all exist. lol.
