Next Mortal Kombat To Be Live Compatible

Today, at its Q4 financial results conference call, Midway revealed that the next installment in the Mortal Kombat series will be Xbox Live compatible.
"It will be the first fighting game, 3D fighting game online on both for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox," said Midway’s president and CEO, David F. Zucker. "That is a pretty big development." he added.
Mr. Zucker also said the game will feature several modes, including action, adventure and conquest and promised interactive backgrounds that will affect the outcome of the battle.
