After yesterdays update from Gamespot, GameInfromer Magazine Online updated today with their impressions of Mortal Kombat: Deception. Gamespot featured a 2 page article outlining much of what was revealed to us in the April issue of PSM magazine, although much of the same was talked about in the GameInformer article there were a few key things to note:
| Quote: | "...There will be 24 total characters 14 of which will be initially selectable. There will be 8 new characters, 6 characters will be returning from Deadly Alliance, and there will be 10 classic Mortal Kombat characters from earlier installments like Baraka, Kabal, Nightwolf, and Sindel who will be making their 3D debut.
Boon stated that the backgrounds in the game will be more than a portrait. Environments in Deception will be much more expansive, and some will feature multiple tiers much like the Dead or Alive series. Youll be able to blast opponents through breakable walls and watch them fall, and then chase them below, and continue smacking the snot out of them. Boon described two of the levels that will be in the game. One was a collapsing pillar level where through out the match, the outer rings will continue to collapse until you have a small center pillar. The other was a Ying Yang type level where the Ying side was a nice beach area, and the Yang side was a rainy, desolate opposite. While you are fighting the Ying and Yang sides switch randomly. |

True, however from the article you can tell that these guys know what they are talking about. They sound like they have played MK before. Plus it makes sence with Mavado and all.

Sup TMK associates, it's been awhile, but I'm back. I jus' recently started coming back to the site to check out new stuff on the game. I gotta say I'm a little dissappointed, but there may be some hope for MK Deception. I honestly think all the feautures, added bonuses, extra games and all that is a sad and desperate attempt to give THIS MK (unlike Deadly Alliance) some replay value. Of course, being the fan that I am, I'm buying it release date anyway, but there's a lot of ideas out there that Ed and the rest of the team haven't either announced or decided to add in the sixth game. I'm hoping that the replay value will be better along wit' the gameplay itself. I wasn't a huge fan of the way Deadly Alliance was fought.

Kabal is gonna be playable? Thats friggin awesome. And that almost confirms that Mavado is going to be one of the other playable characters due to the interlocking storyline.

I think Mavados gone. We only need one character with hookswords. I think if there bringing Kabal back it means he got his revenge on Mavado...

I was dissapointed when I heard that Kabal was dead at the hands of Mavado. That's why Kano became my favorite in MK:DA because he was Mavado's rival and it was the only way I could get revenge on Mavado over and over and over again for killing Kabal. I wonder how Kabal supposedly survived this attack? What do you guys think? Did Kabal just survive the attack from Mavado or is there something going on we don't know?
