Let me see, if you mean least useful it might be kitana, of course I did not play much with her, but everyone else seemed to have better skills than her. Wait I got it johnny might be the one, because his shadow kick gets him into his own downfall.

In MK3, i hate to fight Sonya because she won't let me get a punch in. 
(Guess being kidnapped in part 2 pissed her off).
My favorite will always be scorpion.

My favourite chars from Trilogy are all the cyber-ninjas,
they got very successful combinations, especially Smoke and Cyrax.
And whom am I hate more? maybe Kano- his attacks are not great.
Also, I don't like all the bosses,- they're absolutely stupid and uninteresting.

My favorite trilogy character would be a tie between MK2 Raiden and Sindel, I love them. Its difficult to play a good Kabal player or a good MK2 Kung Lao player since Kabal is top tier and MK2KL is uber deadly and broken.
Characters I dislike the most would be Sheeva and Shang. Pretty much worthless to me.

MK2 Kung Lao and Human Smoke. They are powerhouses who break the 50% barrier anytime they start a combo. They are also highly manueverable characters. MK2 Kung Lao should not have had a pop up combo, that was a mistake, it makes him way way way way way too dangerous. You get a minimum of 55% if you land a kick starter to autocombo off his teleport, then jump kick super man, if you whiff a dash kick after the jump kick, stick in 2 HPs, then another jump kick superman, that's 69%, or you can just do either of his 3 infinites off his pop up combo any time you want (on certain characters) as long as you gotz da skillz. Human Smoke everyone should know his basic 50%+ combo for.

i totally agree and scorpio is also my fav next to noob because im a scorpio on the zodiac calender
but i dont agrree with the jade part i liked her alot

Noob has the most numbers of most tactical moves (cloud,shadow,teleport ... anything more you want?) so I would vote for him as well as Scorpion,Subzero and Smoke ( Scorpion has less tactical moves but two is good enough to put him in the class of best samr thing can be said about Cyber Smoke and Unmasked Subzero ).

my favioriot char would be stryker,next is unmasked sub,then sektor...I don't know stryker sticks out more then the others,one thing I don't like is his fatalitys,they suck,the one I hate the most woiuld be sheeva,my friend knows ways and can kill me one swack(unless i'm stryker)cause he always teliport jumps,upeercut,reapeat untill dead

Take MK3 Subby and try to ice clone.
I wish I could play MK3 subby in MK2 as that stop Kintaro's bullying.

But even with him I could not beat Kintaro easily as Kintaro would cheatingly catch and throw even when I was just making him teleport out.

My two most favourites and most useful is Scorpion,Kung Lao,Liu Kang and Rayden. The ones that were pathetic were Sheeva and Johnny Cage which I found both iriritating and annoying.
