in one of the new images it shows some fighters behind bars. one looks like it might be jade *notice the green legs* and the other looks like, I think his name is reko. sony kills him in mortal kombat 4.
man this is gonna kick ass if you can unlock each fighter, or maybe this is the sub boss level where you have to defeat all past fighters. maybe the dragon king has the power to give life or erase the past. *shrug* I LOVE MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!

In the pictures of both the PS2 version and the X-Box version you can see a couple fo previous fighters from past MK's in the jail cells surrounding the fighting arena floor.
