of course i like all the blood and fatalitys, but another sweet thing about MK is the complexity which is really kinda fun to study. everything about all of the storys and side-plots is awesome

The mortal kombat games are cool (blood, fatality's) a good fighting game.
But the movies's and MKC made Mortal Kombat Perfect! Made it real!
The story line, the good and bad characters and lots more...
Because of the movies i still play MK.
Without the movies i think MK was forgotten

what makes MK great for me would have to be is that is the game that revloutionized the fighting genre. No game at that time has the fatalites, blood and gore as MK did nor will they ever. I remember playing MK1 when it first came out in a Pizza shop called Jays pizza, matter of fact i think i was one of the first people in baltimore to play it at that time. I told all my friends about it but they didnt have no clue what i was talking about till i should them. In essense besides street fighter MK is the best fighting genre of all time HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!

First it's the cool athmosphere. A mixture between a ninja movie and a comicstyle fighting script I would say. It's the announcer, the cool music, fatalities, .... scorpion, sub zero etc. what makes this game so different to all other fighting games.
It's just a game of its own and no clone has ever reached it's style or quality. The only one who could have become as good as MK was Biofreaks. With one year more in development this would have turned out as an outstanding game. But it was just released to soon.
I still hope they ressurect it in the near future.

For me its storyline.
TMK knows very well how much of a storyline freak I am and my knowledge of all MK Characters and realms and history thanks to the stuff I get from the MK Team. Storyline for me is the best part however MK stuffs it up in every game in the main part, the individual storylines are very impressive and unique. Shang Tsung been my favourite of all. But yeah for me its storyline.

The reason I like Mortal Kombat because its one of the only games ive played to have properly themed characters, other games that have ninjas and such, pllaying as them dont feel like ninjas
