How well do you think you know Mortal Kombat 1 on arcade? Did you ever fight Reptile?....get a Reptile clue?....See the secret "game over" ending?...Do Johnny Cage's multiple head fatality? Well now you can see all these things simply by downloading the videos I have made below! I call this update the "MK1 Secret Video Archives" I decided to do this because Midway's Arcade Treasures 2 isn't far off...and will it have all the original tricks of the arcade? To me all the stuff you had to do to fight Reptile on MK1 was my favorite code type system in MK. For a start, It takes a long time just to get the pit shadow, then you gotta get a double flawless without using block agianst the computer and do a fatality! So for those who havn't seen any of this stuff, enjoy. You need divx 5.1.1 to view the videos, for those wondering I recorded these on my arcade machine.
Video #1 = Reptile giving a clue how to find him [2 seconds , 336K]
Video #2 = Me fighting Liu Kang, then Reptile [1 minute 42 seconds , 5.52MB]
Video #3 = Reptiles audits on the menu inside the arcade machine [27 seconds , 1.49MB]
Video #4 = Me doing Johnny Cage's mutiple head fatality [20 seconds , 1.14MB]
Video #5 = The secret "game over" ending (comes up about once every 20 games) [21 seconds , 1.15MB]

That is so cool T-MK, especially the Multi Heads fatality...I knew it exsisted, but I was never able to do it, so thats the first time I have ever seen it, so thanks ^_^

Well it depends where you buy and stuff, from a proper arcade dealer in Australia a decent size cabinet is $850 Australian (say about $720us) . Or low boy cabinet (smaller and crappy) is about $400 Australian. (about $350us)

Uhmm...for anyone who knows their history, is Reptile technically the first ever "hidden character" in fighting games? If not, he's gotta be pretty close.

is it the same as in the arcade ? that dude that posted the videos, showed his arcade machine's menu (it was version 4.0 of mk1).i got the rom for mame but no sign of the stuff shown in the video about goro reptile etc..
ps: in which version do you get to break the diamond?in the latest version which is v5.0 t-unit there is no diamond..

Well, You only get the "Audits" page if you go into the games "service" menu. YOu can break Diamond And Ruby on any version above 3 I think, but you can only get to it if you play some 2 player battles, as there isn't enough solo battles to make you reach them.
