Post subject: MK's contributions to the fighting game world |

While developing a fighting game of our own, a fellow game programmer and I got into a little debate. I said that MK has added much to the genre, whereas he says the only thing it did was add the Fatality. So... let's get a little bit of the fuel for the fire here:
-Added the Block Button
-Added the Finishing Move
-Added much blood and gore
-Expanded the fighting style change system (previously used by Gen in Street Fighter Alpha 3)
-Added interactive backgrounds (first in the form of stage fatalities i.e. "The Pit")
What else, dudes?

 it aslo added realistic martial art fighting styles and the characters collect damage upon their face.
