Post subject: Is the Nintendo 64 version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy any good |

I am thinking about buying it used, as I already have the PC and PSone versions. Gamestop sells it for 24.99 used and Electronic Botiques sells it for 19.99 used. I don't really want to pay that much if it isn't worth those prices.

The bad things are that the sound effects and music sounds canned, there are no one-button fatalities, and you can't play the mk 1 and 2 charactors. The good things are that it is much faster than the psone,pc,and the sega saturn. (no loading times) There are some added backgrounds and the fatalities are better than the other versions, but the brutalities are weak. You can even do reverse babalities and the bosses can do fatalities as well. IMHO, the n64 is better. (that is if you don't mind the canned sound and music)

N64 MKT is crap. Don't buy it, if you do, you'll throw up. Like this:
See, it's not worth it.
Stick with the PSone version, check to see if you can do the Noob Saibot infinite, if you can't, you have the updated version, with all the nuances about the first version that were terrible fixed.
Noob's inf, teleport slam, LP, LP juggle, teleport slam. Try it, if it works, you have the buggy version, in that case you can do all kinds of crazy things since gravity is messed up in that version and there are a few infinites here and there because of this.

Obviously nobody's going to stick up for the N64 version and the best thing about it is the challenge in it,don't you think? The one button fatalities is just unheard of where did anyone get this piece of information.

personally i like the PSone version better its easier to play i think but the N64 was kool too i liked them both alot

Well i have both PS and N64 TRILOGYs, and the N64 version may have more jagged, scanned, paper-like kombatants (not to mention nasty sound), but i friggin cant' put up with those load times on the Playstation. Teh r so off-putting. I need fast-pace, Nintendo got, so N64 MKT=
