Latly, I remebered that in MK1 and MK2, thier was a pallete swaper, like Daniel Pesina, who played as Johhny Cage and every male ninja in MK1 and MK2. He seemed to be skiled in martail arts but lacked the muscle. Then in MK3,UMK3,MKT,MKM:SZ and MK4 came John Truk, who practiclly played as every single male ninja, old or new in, UMK3, MKT, and MK4, he also seemed to play the role of Sub-Zero, in Mortal Kombat Mythologies.
And in MK4, he was modeled as Sub-Zero in MK4 as well. So the moral of this post is, witch of them is better.
Daniel Pesina:
(+) Martial Artist
Acurate Attacks (in his sprites)
The real Johhny Cage (its just him)
(-)
Lack of Strenght like (had muscle, bot to much though)
John Turk:
(+) Muscle (looks flabby, not in the game though)
Assumes every ninja pallete in UMK3, UMKT, MKM:SZ (whitout him, midway
had a old lady dreessed into a Rain ouitfit saying, FIGHT)
(the inbetween)
Unlike most of the UMK3, and MKT characters, it was like he was the only one to actually swiftly roll back up without setting his hands down for support)
He's the Sub-Zero: (plays as him in MK3, UMK3 (classic sub-zero), MKM:SZ,
(played as Sub-Zero, in game, and in the cinemas.
(-)
Voice: (shakes) Cold, very mean, gruff, voice, good for someone like Sub-Zero, but but not Scorpion or another ninja.
Those are my rates, and my answer is, I think that Daniel Pesina wins!
He seemed to be a true essence to MK, without him as Johhny Cage or the ninjas, it wasn't quite the same, if they brung him back as cage someday, then MK would return to its roots.Maybe...
Your rates?

I prefer John Turk _________________ His approach will be as silent as new fallen snow...his attack as fierce as winter's blizzard...his devastation as brutal as winter's relentless chill...he is complete (Lin Kuei Grandmaster)
So fair... yet so cold... like a morning of pale spring still clinging to winter's chill (Grima Wormtongue)
In the depths of Winter I finally learned that within me there lay an invinsible summer (Albert Camus)

Well your rating is good
I only got into MK when I was 10 (when MK3 was out) so I'm used to John Turk playing Sub-Zero (I just knew Sub-Zero as the blue guy before then) so...
I do agree with your minus point on him though _________________ His approach will be as silent as new fallen snow...his attack as fierce as winter's blizzard...his devastation as brutal as winter's relentless chill...he is complete (Lin Kuei Grandmaster)

I knew who Danile Pesina was when I played MK1, the movie star and the ninjas. When I was putting in a cheat for the male chameleon, it sai make sure you choose a male ninja, then it said (John Turk pallete swaps)
ME: (at that time) Who is john turk?
heh, then when I beat Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, I found he played as Sub-Zero, I was just like......oh. Then when I switch back to MKT for the PSX, i notice a simalarity between the MKM:SZ and the other MKT male ninjas. The first thing I siad was whoa.....he's got a job, he played as,
RAIN
REPTILE
SCORPION
SUB-ZERO
CLASSIC SUB-ZERO
Mortal Kombat Mythologies- as Original Sub-Zero
ERMAC
NOOB SAIBOT
SMOKE (human)
SHANG TSUNG (suprisingly)
and every other male ninja, al though he does a great job as acting as the ninjas, and posing for the palletes, Daniel Pesina was the "real" Johnny Cage, they should have brought him back looking a bit better in MKT. Heh, he was the essence of Cage anyway.
