Pardon the "@" and "A" I guess the version of Word I have in encoded differently. I assure you they are not appart of the story. This is a continuation of storyline (as I see it) of Scorpion. I wrote the beginning "Scorpion vs. Sub-Sero" as a kind of "biography" of Scorpion.
Anyway tell me what you think and rate it. REMEMBER THIS IS UN-REVISED!
Scorpion's Story Vol. II
One Day Before
"It won"t be long now" he thought. Scorpion was nearing his destination point. He was close to Shang Tsung=s palace; he could see the green tornado of souls rising to the heavens. Tsung used this "Soulnado" to store the souls in which he draws his power from. As Scorpion ran towards the palace he thought of what he endured to get to where he was currently.
His Past
Scorpion had been pushed and pulled both physically and mentally to get his opportunity for revenge. Scorpion was on a quest to find whoever killed his family and fellow members of his clan, and kill him. He was a tormented soul trapped inside a great warriors body and had the ability to go back and forth from realm to realm as he chooses. Each time he went back to the Neatherrealm, Hell, his power grew greater. After he was created he was sent on a mission by Quan Chi to retrieve a sacred amulet. Little did Scorpion know Quan Chi hired another ninja by the name of Sub-Zero to retrieve it also. When Scorpion arrived at the amulet=s resting place, Sub-Zero was already there. They fought and Sub-Zero beat Scorpion was sent to the Neatherrealm. He waited there for his next opportunity to strike. Quan Chi who, had been deceived by Sub-Zero, told Scorpion that if he would defeat Scorpion for him and get the amulet, then he would give Scorpion life again. Scorpion accepted but lost the memory of his family in the process. Scorpion met Sub-Zero again in the first Mortal Kombat tournament in which Scorpion killed Sub-Zero due to his tremendous powers that he received in the Neatherrealm. But since he fulfilled his quest for Quan Chi he was sent back to the Neatherrealm.
Just when Scorpion thought he killed Sub-Zero he received word that Sub-Zero was back. He went back on a quest searching for this ASub-Zero@. When he caught up to him he leaped at him and pinned him down. He quickly realized that this was not the same Sub-Zero and let him live. This Sub-Zero was the brother of the previous one. Scorpion even vowed to protect Sub-Zero, but treachery and deceit by Quan Chi led Scorpion to believe that Sub-Zero killed his family and as soon as he could Scorpion went to kill Sub-Zero. After a long quest he finally caught up with Sub-Zero and defeated him. As Scorpion was going in for the kill Sub-Zero pleaded for his life. In the process of talking he told Scorpion that he had nothing to do with killing his family. Just then Quan Chi, who was listening, confirmed the statement. Scorpion lost his composure and lept for Chi. Quan Chi used his powers to open a portal to the Neatherrealm and Scorpion was, little by little, being sucked into it. Just before his last arm was in Scorpion, with his last bit of energy, grabbed Quan Chi and pulled him in. Now Quan Chi was in Scorpion=s realm. Upon entering the Neatherrealm Scorpion=s powers were quickly growing and healing and Chi=s were slowly depleting. Quan Chi immediately ran from Scorpion and lost him, for now.
Quan Chi was able to get out of Neatherrelam and go back to his mission. Quan Chi formed Deadly Alliance with Shang Tsung and killed Liu Kang, the all time Mortal Kombat champion. The Earthrealm formed another alliance to try and stop the Deadly Alliance. Scorpion was approached by Raiden to join Earth=s alliance. Scorpion denied because he wanted to just kill Quan Chi not for the good of mankind, but for himself. So he went on his way to get Quan Chi and nothing and nobody, or thin, could stop him. On his quest he encountered many other fighters and defeated them all. He was at the point now on his journey where he could see a green tower of light.
AShang Tsung=s Soulnado!@ he thought. He adjusted his belt and mask and began a day long sprint towards the green tower of souls.

As he is approaching the huge temple doors, they suddenly start closing. He starts picking up more speed and those doors still were closing. As he approached he got a glimpse of who was inside. He saw Quan Chi and Shang Tsung take a fallen hero=s soul and put it into a dead soldier of the Dragon King's army. Then the door shut just before he could get in. He pounded on the door and screamed to be let in. Hs determination was overwhelming; so he went to find another way in. He went around the massive complex and found an air duct. He climbed in and maneuvered his way through the labyrinth of air passages. He found an open air duct and crawled through. As he stood up he was in awe at the size of this room. The room was about 4 stories high and very long. covering two-thirds of the room were the semi-living remnants of the lost army of the Dragon King. When he looked behind him he saw the huge green tower that he was running towards. He saw the souls that encompassed it. Underneath the Soulnado, a large chunk of floor was missing. Scorpion went to look and as he peered over the edge a huge fireball came spewing from the huge crevice. AI=d hate to fall in there.@ he thought. As he was turning back to look at the front door, all he saw was a foot heading towards his face. Quan Chi blind sided Scorpion and began to fight him. Scorpion, after he regained his composure began fighting back with a swift kick to Quan Chi=s face, sending Chi back. Quan Chi then used his dark magic to create a mystically green skull and threw it at Scorpion. The skull found it=s mark and Scorpion was sent flying back almost falling into the pit of fire behind him. This only proved to piss Scorpion off even more. Scorpion kicked up and drew his sword. As Quan Chi saw this he too drew his two swords. Quan Chi went on the offensive and swung his right sword first at Scorpion. Scorpion blocked and then Quan swung his left sword. Scorpion blocked again and sent the sword flying, along with Quan Chi. Seeing the opening, Scorpion lept at Chi and kicked him in the face with a swift axe kick. Scorpion spun around and connected his spear with the clip that had an infinite amount of Arope@ that came from his arm. He threw the spear and it lodged deep into Quan Chi=s chest. AGet over here!@ Scorpion yelled, and he pulled Chi towards him. Chi had nowhere to go except up, after Scorpion hit a huge uppercut. Chi landed and curled up into a ball. It was obvious that Scorpion=s powers were too strong for Quan Chi and he knew it. Just when Scorpion was getting to make the kill, and fulfill his revenge, Quan Chi started laughing. Scorpion cocked his head to the right and was puzzled by the type of affection Quan Chi was emitting.AYou should have ended this foolish quest long ago, Scorpion.@Quan Chi said AYou have been a thorn in my side long enough. It=s time to die!@ Just then a huge door opened and two Oni, Neatherrealm monsters, began making their way towards him. The two Oni were huge monsters named Drahmin and Moloch. Drahmin was a skinless monster with a club for a right hand and a mask on his face. He was of average build but strong as an ox and had a very weird fighting style. Not to mention he was covered with flies. Moloch was very different. He was much bigger than Drahmin and he had three eyes. He did not resemble a human except for his two arms and legs. He was blue and had a large stone chained to his hand. He was very powerful and could take a tremendous amount of punishment. When they fought alone they were hard, but when they were together they were near unstoppable. AGet him!@ Quan Chi yelled. Both Moloch and Drahmin sprinted towards Scorpion. All Scorpion could do was get ready for the battle that was inevitable. He had no where to run and the door he came from was behind Moloch and Drahmin. Drahmin was the first to jump at Scorpion. Scorpion also jumped and dodged him by stepping on his head and using him as a springboard. As Scorpion was falling to Moloch, he drew his sword. Scorpion went to stab Moloch, when Moloch moved and grabbed him by the collar Moloch slammed Scorpion down a few times and threw him against a wall. Scorpion was on his head at this point and wondering what to do next. So he did the one thing that helped him out whenever he was in peril. He connected the spearhead to the clip on his hand and threw the spear. The spear landed dead in the center of the gigantic stone in Moloch=s hand. Scorpion went to pull Moloch but he wouldn’t budge. Scorpion pulled again and Moloch still didn’t move. Just then, Moloch pulled back and Scorpion was hurled towards inevitable pain. Drahmin regained his composure from being kicked in the head by Scorpion earlier and went to help Moloch in beating Scorpion senseless. The two Neatherrealm Oni beat almost every bit of life out of Scorpion. Scorpion could surely have beaten them one-on-one, but he was overwhelmed this time. As Quan Chi looked on with delight, his mind began racing with evil thoughts about with what to do with Scorpion. He leaned over to Shang Tsung and said “Watch this.” With a tone of voice that gave reason to be curious. He called to the two Oni, “Throw him into the Soulnado!” The two looked at Chi and smiled. They took great delight as they threw Scorpion into the Soulnado. The soul grabbed onto Scorpion’s body and began to draw him into the middle of the Soulnado. Scorpion could do nothing except think of what will happen next…and scream. As Quan Chi looked on he smiled and took great pleasure in the sight of Scorpion being drawn into the green Soulnado. His only thought was that he would never see Scorpion again.
The Soulnado was a perfectly pure gateway to the heavens that Shang Tsung used to draw power from. Though the Soulnado was perfectly pure Shang still had the ability to take a soul here and there as he saw fit. That gave him his immense power. Scorpion was a hell spawn specter from Hell. He was not pure and would have been surely ripped apart due to the purity of the heavens.
Scorpion was ready for his fate. He too knew what would happen to him. He was ready to be ripped apart and killed, for good. He waited for what seemed like an eternity for his fate to be sealed but it never came. In fact he was in the middle of nowhere and could see perfectly clear all around him. “Look at what will surely kill us all!” a great voice said. Scorpion then saw Quan Chi and Shang Tsung fight Raiden through his own eyes. He saw the great battle between the men. Raiden got the upper hand at first, but in the end he was defeated. Scorpion also saw as Shang Tsung and Quan Chi fought over the amulet, the same amulet he was sent by Quan Chi to find. Chi defeated Tsung and was the supreme winner of that Mortal Kombat. Scorpion looked at Chi raising his hand and asked the great voice “Is Quan Chi what will kill us all?” “No, this force will make his presence known in a big way. Just watch!” Chi’s win was great it was not recognized due to a late interference. Chi felt a great pulse under his feet. He looked at the front entrance and he saw a dark figure only lit by the lighting outside. The great figure was slowly making his way towards Quan Chi. As he entered the room the soldiers who were waiting patiently to the side suddenly bowed down to this great figure. Chi, not knowing what this thing was, looked at him like he was a threat. He threw a green skull towards it and the monster shrugged it off as it hit its mark. Chi was stunned and threw two more. Still no effect. Quan began getting impatient and started just unleashing his power on this thing. Just when thing began looking hopeless for Chi, a huge ray of fire shot at the monster. It was Shang Tsung who decided to help Chi take out this greater evil. The two unleashed all of their power on this monster and he still showed no side effects from it. Just before Tsung actually started to think of running a huge lightning bolt struck the monster. Raiden also thought like Tsung and agreed to kill this greater evil first. Soon all three men began showering this monster with green energy, fire, and lightning. Though this slowed this monster down it still made its way towards the men. Raiden, in an act of desperation, started making a huge lighting energy bomb. Little by little the ball grew as; little by little the monster came towards them. Just when the monster could reach for the three warriors, Raiden unleashed his energy bomb and everything blew up including the three warriors. Nothing was left, except the monster. Scorpion looked and for the first time in his life he was stunned. His eyes opened wide and he asked the great voice again “Is that it?”
“Yes it is. That is the Dragon King. He was once a great god like us.”
“You’re a god?” Scorpion asked
“Yes, I am an elder god. I am here to ask of your assistance.”
“My assistance?” Scorpion asked
“Yes, you are the only one who has increased powers due to your…situation.”
“My situation? What the hell do you mean by that?”
“You have a gift that gives you increased power above most humans. You can control Hellfire and, not to mention, you have a spear that comes out of your hand. Need I say more?”
“Okay, okay, but why me?”
“You have increased powers already and you can’t die. We want to enhance your abilities and send you to defeat the Dragon King.”
“Wait a minute; you want me to defeat that thing? Now I’m not one to back down from a fight, but nothing can kill that thing.”
“Scorpion with the enhanced powers we are going to give you, you could beat us! We know that you are a lone warrior in search of the one who killed your family. We also know that you pledge no alliance with anybody, but just this once please help us.”
Scorpion was perplexed by this situation he was put in. But after he though about it he had no other choice. He was either going to die here or go back and be killed. At least if he sided with the Elder gods then he could go to and from each realm as he saw fit. He would be totally free.
“I’ll do it.” Scorpion said.
“Great, then hang on because this is going to be rough.”
Just then Scorpion’s body was lifted and was being illuminated by a light that was brighter than the sun. He felt a surge of adrenaline flow through his veins and his muscles grow. He felt his mind become clearer and energized and knowledge filled his mind. His kitana became engulfed with fire and became sharp enough to cut a diamond clean through. His armor was refurbished and stronger and his mask became easier to breather through. His entire being was upgraded from a great to greater within a span of five minutes time. He was the supreme fighting warrior.
“That was amazing!” he exclaimed “But what happens if I die?”
“Just remember Scorpion, you can’t die. You are now the Enforcer of the Elder gods. There is nobody else in the world like you.”
“There never was.”
“Now go Scorpion. Finish the Dragon King. The others can’t hold out much longer.”
With those words Scorpion was then teleported back to Earthrealm to start his quest toward the Dragon King. He looked at the destruction that was left by the Dragon King. He then saw a little girl rummaging through the rubble to find her family that were no doubt killed by the Dragon King. He too had a little one of his own once and the sight of the little girl without a family made compassion fill his body for the first time in a long while. Soon that compassion and sorrow turned to rage. With fire in his eyes he sprinted towards the Dragon King’s layer with all the speed he could muster. With his new found strength and agility he was much faster than he once was. When he made it to the Dragon King’s lair he sprinted right through the open doors and saw the Dragon King. The Dragon King was about 10 feet tall and powerful enough to withstand any amount of punishment given to him by any normal being. Scorpion, however, was not a normal being anymore. With his enhanced strength and agility he was of equal power with the Dragon King and twice as fast. For speed was the one thing the Dragon King lacked. He depended on his tremendous strength and power to survive.
When Scorpion entered the building he saw Kitana and Lei Mei around the Dragon King. Kitana was put under a spell by the Dragon King and she did whatever he told her to do. Lei Mei, however, in an act of deception, aligned herself with the Dragon King and became his “queen”. Scorpion saw all of this and made his poise to strike. When the opportunity came he made a huge leap across a pit of spikes and stood up to the Dragon King. The Dragon King first sent Kitana to ward off Scorpion. Scorpion knew that she was under a spell and defeated her with no fatality. But with her defeated she was freed from the spell and she went to safety. Lei Mei was not as lucky. For when she went for her signature move a flurry of punches, Scorpion caught her and threw her onto the spikes. “Fatality…” Scorpion said. This act made the Dragon King much more angry and dangerous than he already was. The two squared off in the final Mortal Kombat fight of that time. “What the hell are you?” Scorpion asked
“I am Onaga, the Dragon King and true ruler of The Universe!”
“Sure…” With that Scorpion went to hit Onaga with a stiff punch but Onaga caught his hand and squeezed. Scorpion winced and grabbed Onaga’s hand and tried to get it off, but it wouldn’t budge. Onaga then went to throw Scorpion into the spikes and walked towards where Scorpion threw Lei Mei. “This is for my queen!” Onaga then threw Scorpion towards the spikes. With his enhanced abilities, Scorpion could think quickly. Scorpion regained his composure and realized he was heading towards huge spikes at a high rate of speed. “Well that’s not good.” Scorpion thought. So Scorpion turned and bounced off of Lei Mei’s dead body and projected himself back towards Onaga. Scorpion saw that Onaga was ready with a fist so he used his teleport attack to teleport behind Onaga and kicked him in the back of his head. Onaga almost stumbled into the pit. “Get over here!” Scorpion said after throwing the spear. The spear hit its mark but Scorpion couldn’t move him. Even with his enhanced strength, he couldn’t move Onaga. Sensing a repeat of his earlier death Scorpion prepared himself to be pulled towards Onaga. Scorpion was dead on right. Onaga pulled Scorpion towards him and tried to smash him down, but Scorpion was already ready for that. Scorpion jumped at the last second flung himself over Onaga. As Scorpion landed, he stumbled and fell into one of the pieces of Kamidogu, ancient relics that the Dragon King collected to be the all powerful being that he was. When Scorpion broke it, The Dragon King fell to one knee and writhed in pain. While Onaga was down, Scorpion felt of rush of adrenaline. He got up and started laying it on Onaga. He started with a few punches and got enough momentum going to keep hitting him for a good while, but soon his temporary power left him and he was back to what he was. But with the knowledge of the fact that the Kamidogu hurt the Dragon King but helped him, he was more confident that he could beat the Dragon King. He battled the Dragon King for a while after that. Each time he collected a piece of the Kamidogu he hit a rush of hits on Onaga. But just when Scorpion thought he had the battle in the bag he lost concentration and gave Onaga an opportunity. Onaga grabbed Scorpion flew up and slammed him down. He started on bashing Scorpion with all he had. Scorpion was just taking it all in. Onaga went to grab Scorpion again but Scorpion hit a massive back flip kick and sent Onaga reeling. Scorpion landed on one knee and looked up. Scorpion stood up and reached for his sword. He drew the sword slowly. He brought the sword down and placed it upright in front of him. With a twist of his hand the sword then turned to flames and Scorpion was ready to go. He was more concentrated and more ready than he ever was to go this final round. Onaga charged for Scorpion but Scorpion didn’t move. Onaga ran faster and faster, but Scorpion still didn’t move. Just when Onaga was about to hit Scorpion, Scorpion swung the massive sword and slashed the Dragon King. The cut was massive and it sent fear in the eyes of Onaga. Scorpion then went on his attack. With each slash a piece of Onaga was lost. Scorpion was unrelenting in his attack. He unleashed all of his energy into this one attack. Slowly the Dragon King wore down and soon after one strong hit he fell to his knees. Seeing this opportunity, Scorpion kicked Onaga with another back flip kick, which sent Onaga to do a back flip of his own and as Scorpion was coming down he hurled his spear right into the head of Onaga. This time, with all of his might, he pulled and ripped Onaga’s head off. The Dragon King was defeated and killed. Scorpion, single-handedly, ended the Dragon King’s reign of terror. Just then a huge ray of light came from the Dragon King’s body and his lair started to rumble. Scorpion who was weakened by the battle desperately tried to make it out of there. He ran as fast as he could, but a large stone fell in front of the exit. He was helpless. He stopped running and waited for his time. He thought, “I fulfilled my quest and now they have no more use for me. Damn! Dying sucks.” He looked up and saw another large stone falling towards him. But when the stone was right above him he was teleported to the heavens again and was face to face with the same god he was with before. “You‘ve completed you mission and very well I might add.” The great voice said.
‘Yeah well it sure hurts.” Scorpion said. “What now”
“We are giving you a choice. You can either go back to Neatherrealm…
“No, never, I’ll never go back there!”
“Or, you could stay here and work for us. You will be the guardian of the Nexus and Enforcer of the Elder Gods. Your powers will remain the same and you will have free reign to go wherever you want.”
“What will you take from me?”
“Nothing. We have heard that you once lost your memory of your family as a result of a bad deal. We won’t take anything form you. We just want your services in return for the strength we gave you.”
After thinking about it for a bit Scorpion made up his mind. “I’ll do it. I accept your offer”
“Great! No go and protect “
“Right…but first…”
Meanwhile back in the Neatherrealm, Quan Chi was waiting for an opportunity to leave that horrible place. He began pacing back and forth trying to think of ways to escape and get back to Earth. He had no amulet or alliances, all he had was himself. As he was pacing he felt a cold breeze go up his spine. He felt out of place and awkward. He sensed something was wrong. Just then he heard a familiar voice, standing before him in a glowing light he saw the one person that would surely make his life a living hell. “I’m back,” Scorpion walked out of the light and showed Quan Chi his true face, a fiery skull, “and I’m better than ever.”
“No! NO! Not you!” Quan Chi began to run from Scorpion. He ran as fast as he could but Scorpion just stood there.
“GET OVER HERE!” Scorpion yelled
“Ahhhhhh, Nooo!” Quan Chi stopped and looked back and all he saw was the head of a spear flying towards his face.

Well you'll have to wait for a year or so....
I elaborate on the storyline in the game.
But I'm glad you liked the story. It took a while.
