|
what do you guys think about bringing back rain. his storyline is still left open. he's not dead, he simply fought on the earth warriors' side during mk3. i would like it if he came back, and fought with the edenians (jade, kitana, sindel, etc.). perhaps even a good story line could be rain becoming king of edenia with kitana as queen. just some thoughts.

I'd like to see rain come back. That would make a good story line too.

Rain was cool, but the hard thing is he was considered a traitor to the Edenians, so I doubt he'll be welcome with them. But his return would be very cool

yes, but wasn't jade also in the same situation as rain, an assassin for shao kahn. she also changed her allegiance back to edenia, and was accepted. why can't rain? he will definetly be accepted by the edenians, since jade was too.

Yeah well in the same sense Rain also ran away in battle, so there seems to be some sense of cowardice. But I still think hes cool

i, also, never heard of him running away. last i heard, he went on a suicide mission to take out shao kahn. hs powers area lightning bolt (similar, i would assume, to nightwolf's in mk: d), and a rain bubble, which hits the guy and moves him to where ever you want.

Rains powers are as follows: Lightning Bolt (Nightwolf ripped it for MKD), Rain Bubble which stunned the enemy, and Super Roundhouse, whenever he did a roundhouse kick it sent you through the screen.
As for Rain's running away. I can't recall where I read it, only that I read he ran away. So I'll make this analogy/assumption. Rain betrayed Edenia because of Shao Kahn and his forces. He fought with them and eventually undertook a suicide mission to stop Kahn, but like before, he could've very well gotten cold feet and ran.
I mean in Konquest mode Rain is full of deception. He is searching for the Shokan Dagger, when you find it, he says he's no longer giving it to Goro but keeping it for himself.

it will be pretty cool if he came back...with a some Cool Moves

He would need much better moves than in his previous game, they kind of sucked and there was nothing spectacular about him expect his story line. People want him back so much becuase he has lots of potential to be a good character

Nearly all of the MK cast has the potential to have a great story behind them, Midway just sorta needs to find ways to introduce them. I mean we pretty much know the whole deal behind fan favorites like Scorpion, Sub Zero, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Jax, Reptile and Raiden...but they've ignored most of the others....only now did Noob's mystery become even more interesting now that we've got a taste.
All the engimatic characters need to be explained. It only adds to the storyline

Well isnt is abiouse? Rain is Shao Kahn! and Shao Kahn DIED so.. Rain cant come back to Mortal Kombat! Well no one really dies in MK so i dont really know if he will come back,  you can find out in the Kombat Pavilion.

You can't be serious? How is Rain even Shao Kahn, thats just as absurd as Reiko being Shao Kahn
