yeah, Scorpion definitely. From the looks he is the most popular character, and his backstory is just awesome. His ending should be one that continues to the next MK.

Yes, Scorpion won.
[Spoilers Ahead]
They say it in his ending after you defeat the Dragon King with him...and since all the characters' ending don't include a "What if character won tournament" paragraph, his is the only one that mentions winning.

i wanted scorp to win as much as anyone else but only his ending states that he one. same with sindel. i dont like sindel but i do want reptile to return as a ninja like in her ending.
shujinko has more than one ending which says he did it
the intro said that he was the only one who could destroy him(tho its not really proof)
shujinkos ending
raidens ending
and shujinko absorbed scorps fighting styles in his ending as well as the others'.

I definetely do not want Scorpion to win this tournament. I would rather have a "less popular" character winning like sindel (at least her ending brings back reptile). I am not saying that Scorpion isn't cool, i am just saying that his ending being true just wouldn't fit.

Hmm... Interesting, so you don't want scorp to be the champion just because he was popular? But what about kang. He is/was popular as hell but yet he reamaind the champion for over a decade.

I said i would want a "less popular" chracter winning. That would mean that I wouldn't want Liu Kang to win either. Probably Shujinko or someone who will make a good champion. According to the MK team, Shujinko is kinda the next generation Liu Kang. So if you think about it, The chances of Shujinko winning the tournament are good. However, i want someone to win who will affect the MK universe for the better. Like sindel for example, or ermac (who brings everyone back).

If shujinko was the next kang... I sware to god I will throw away everything MK in my room.

I would say Shujinko won. He was the main character in Konquest. plus, Scorpions ending is the only one like that, Raiden's is based after Shujinko's.
Shujinko seems like the best person to have winning this tournament.

In raidens ending, raiden killed shujinko. He has gotten old of earthrealms foolish warriors. And now he will eliminate any threat to earthrealm..aka...shujinko
