Whenever I watch someone do a fatality, either in this or MK:DA, I see them switch to a style called "fatality" and then they do it. Is that necessary? I could have sworn I did both of Sub-Zero's fatalities without switching to the fatality style first. _________________ For every sprinkle I find...I shall kill you.

You can.
The only thing is that most find it more easily to finish fatalities in fatality mode.

The Fatality style keeps you locked in range, and also stops you from jumping when pressing "up" in a fatality.

Hmmm...I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Now I should be able to do them easier. _________________ For every sprinkle I find...I shall kill you.

I have never tried to block while perfroming a fatality, but, wouldn't it be easier to just use the fatality style? In MK:DA, i didn't bother with the fatality style because it wasn't distance dependant. In MK:D i always the fatality style; it is a LOT easier.

its necessary but every time i did it, i concentrated way way too much and screwed up. then i got a fatality sheet which did not say the distance, so i just did it and it worked. if it didnt id just do it again and it would definately work

All fatalities are distance dependent. (except for Hara Kiris.) The distances are either:
Close- XO
Sweep- X O
Far- X O
X = you
O = opponent

Thanks. It's just that I read somewhere that in MK:DA when in FATALITY STANCE it was all the same what distance you are in. So I thought it would be the same in MKD as well.

Well MK:DA offers only one Fatality per character while MK:D has 2 plus 1 hara kiri per character. I guess distance dependence is a good trade for more finishers. Wouldn't anyone agree?
