Scorpion is just too much for me, and there isn't anything special about him to keep him coming back, imo.
The main thing is, The MKTeam doesn't give other characters enough time to shine in the spotlight. Scorpion's big-headed ass is always getting in the way. They should start using new characters to promote their games, not the same old ones every single time. They did this with Kenshi, and look at how popular he has become. If they do this more often, put more characters in the spotlight, Scorpion wouldn't hogging the fame so much, and the new characters might get a little more credit.
Folks like Nitara, Mavado, Havik, and Reiko have all the potential to become MK icons, but the MKTeam won't give them a chance. Namco's Soul Calibur always promotes their games with new characters, which is how I fell in love with Tira. I saw her first before anyone else in SC3, I got the chance to actually learn of her before I played with her.
This is what the MKTeam needs to do, and say good ridance to Scorpion, with his ugly, stankin'...

Jesus Christ dude stop hating on Scorpion!
OK you don't like him but at least have respect for him I respect and love most Kharacters with the exception of Kobra (he offered nothing to the series.) Nitara, Havik and Reiko are really kool but Scorpion is a mainstay.
Im sorry if it sounds like im attacking you but im not I just get annoyed at your Scorpion insults. And I don't wana hate anybody on the site. So please dude if your talking about Scorpion just say you dislike him so no negativity will be placed upon you by other members.

Yes I see were you are koming from but to kompare Scorpion to Kobra is shocking man! Kobra hasn't got 1% of popularity kompared to Scorpion's. Scorpion had and still has plenty to offer the series. He was the primary enemy of Sub-Zero in the original, the pawn in MK4/Gold, the Elder Gods' chosen Champion in Deception.....and Kobra was........a 2nd rate Ken Masters with Kano inspired moves and the most stereotypical name in MK's history.
With that said I respect your opinion.

Scorpion being a main-stay is all fair and good, he defo deserves to come back time and time again, and he has more than earned his stripes throughout the years. But putting him on the front of absolutely everything is just overkill!
As it was said earlier in the thread about using him more attracts/ repels people from the series, well here is how I see it:
Every day I pick up the newspaper and see some bullshit headline about Jordan and Peter Andre getting up to this shit or that shit, and I couldn't be any more sick of hearing about this pair of hyped-up nobodies.
Now, don't get me wrong here, I know there is a huge different between this couple of attention-hungry fuckers and MK's Scorpion, but the same idea applies here. If you are a fan of them, then you'll be delighted to see them on the front of the papers and magazines, but if you are not, then you'll just hate them more and more each time you see them on another damn cover.

Agreed man. Its true some other kharacters could do with a bit more exposure like Havik etc. I myself would like to see Kabal and Reiko get a bit more but all out attacks on Scorpion just isn't kool.

I like Scorpion because of his outfit, He hardly changes much, he keeps the same moves and is a specter, you can kill him but he keeps coming back. Look at what happened when they killed Lui Kang. He was supposed to be the hero of the game and what not and now he's a freaking zombie! I say Scorpion is the star of the game.
