i don't think that scorpion is the most important character. i discovered that sub-zero has to be the most important character in mk. he's the only one who has been in every mk game. it does not matter if the current sub is the younger brother. the point is that subbie appeared in mk1-mk deception. so i say that subbie is the most important character in mk history!

Sub Zero may have been in all of the games but he is not the most important, they are all (well most) pretty important. the game needs Scorpion along with the others. but back to this topic, people fear change and since Scorpion was an original like many said before, everybody loves him. and also because everybody loves the bad guy from h3ll. who doesn't like spectre ninjas? well apparently not you lol.

Didn't it say in the MKM:Sub-Zero manual that the Shinri-Ryu was the centre-piece for a bunch of smaller clans that were collectively known as the 'Ninja' and that The Lin Kuei was were on bad terms with all the ninja clan and especially the Shinri-Ryu?
I think the story arc of Scorpion being Sub II's protector WAS true up till MK4 because it mentions Scorpion turning on Shao Kahn because Sub-Zero was one of the chosen ones in his UMK3 ending, and Scorpion broke his vow of protection when Quan told him that Sub II killed his family.
Funny thing is everytime I see Scorpion with that flaming skull I expect him to wear a leather jacket and ride a burning motorcycle calling himself Ghost Rider.

Both the Shirai-Ryu and the Lin Kuei are ninja clans. Actually they are not ninjas. The MK universe uses the term ninja to refer to characters such as Scorpion, Sub-zero, Reptile, Noob-Saibot, etc. you get the idea. Oh, and the "why is Scorpion so famous" thing, three words: GET OVER HERE!!!

Scorp and Sub both looked cool, and they fought each other as rivals which was cool, and neither was really all that good which was cool. This kept them popular despite not being very good to use. The ninjas were nothing special in MK1. They pretty much sucked in MK2. Sub Zero was a ruler in MK3 but then sub was the worst in UMK3 and Scorp was overshadowed by the much more powerful Smoke. But, despite being midcarders, the look and story kept them going.

Well for one jay..... scorpion is like the god of mortal kombat!So look at the facts.......whats mortal kombat about well for example....blood....gore.......fighting........people's spines getting twisted in different ways so who's the fighter that has did that for so long......Scorpion!I don't hate you for not likeing scorpion or anything like that i have nothiing aganist you you are just doing what everyone else does one totalmortalkombat.com......say what you think.
