I don't think they will kill a character for good. Many characters were killed, but came back ...

Well, if Mk decided to really start killing off characters FOR GOOD, and they kill off Rain first, would you get mad?

Rain is cool, but i really dislike his color. Purple? come on......
If he makes it in MK7, they better make him more original and give him better moves and upgrade his storyline.
But anyway, i think Rain was okay in MK:Trilogy

Rain? Error from MK2 Reptile? Really?
Anyway, Liu Kang was inside Shang Tsung for the majority of the time when he was dead. Ermac was created by Shang Tsung and Ermac is a fusion of souls. I don't think Ermac can absorb souls.
