Although it is the original MK game that started off this entire universe, i would have to say that i dislike MK1 the most. I get bored playing the classics when i have newer better versions that offer more. When i firist discovered MK (....long time ago) i was totally absorbed in it and i loved to play them over and over again. However, so many titles have spawned off and now i can choose from more games. In conclusion, I prefer the newer versions of MK over the original(s).

I don't hate any MK games, but I would say that MK4 was the worst, MK wasn't ready to go 3D yet

I liked MKT. Kinda funny how you would hate MKT the most when it is literally an extension of MK3, and among other things. Personally, if you don't own MKT, and you're an MK fan, you MUST buy it. Simply because it has pretty much the entire old school goodness of 2-d MK, and pretty much everyone in it to boot. It may not be very polished, but it's novelty.

I never played MK4, as I was still intimidated by 3-d gore way back when, but it just looked like it wouldn't work anyway. I still wanted to play it, though (Mainly because Scorpion looked so damned cool with that skull mask.)

I actually still like MK1, in regards to the MKD bonus disc. I dunno, things still seem kinda eerie when you play certain parts of the game, like Reptile and the mummifed-dead looking Shang Tsung.

I wish I had MK2 ;_;

I do own MKT, I think it's the crappiest mk game ever. The sound is crap, it's the glitchise , half assed, biggest bs mk game there is. It doesn't even have an arcade port making it virtually crap.l UMK3 is everything needed if you want most mk characters. Hell, even the snes port beats mkt n64 and ps port.

I also disliked MK Trilogy. I wished that they had more Classic characters.
example, :MK1 Sonya, MK2 Mileena, Jade, Kitana, Jonny Cage, Liu Kang.......
Anyway, that would have been better. The sound was bad, it glitched up often, and it lacked the "feel" of the other MK games.

I also hate MKT. The AI is stupid, It's not a real trilogy and they did things to the backgrounds that make me sick. eg "The Star Bridge" adding the dragon logo to the MK1 Pit moon...thats so lame. Boss characters as playable is just stupid and makes the game unbalanced. No Pit II Fatality?....and you call this "Trilogy" pfft! Apart from all those annoyances, It's very glitchy. I also own MKT on all systems.

Regards,

I agree, should have been MUCH better. But I'm still glad I bought it, as I never bought the genesis MK games (except UMK3). I can usually deal with glitches anyway.

i understand all of your opinions and you are allowed to say whatever you want but can you honestly say that mk1 is the worst?
ed boon said that it was only a quick project so if it were not for the fans of the first game when it came out then Crying or Very sad mk2 and mkd would not exist Sad

I know that Mk1 started it all. But c'mon, Mk1 was popular and great in its time......It has evolved a lot since then and i would prefer to play the most recent versions. After playing Deadly Alliance and Deception, i could never get as much fun out of Mk1-Mk4 again.
