mk2 has been voted the best game but has been around for 13 years so peole have been able to vote for it for longer whereas mkd has not even been out a year. so if we start off with a new voting poll, which is better?

Technically MKD is obviously better if one were to like both gameplay mechanics equally.
Only reason MK2 was considered the best was because it was favored to have the best asssortment of features/characters/gameplay/etc. from games of MK1 up until MKT & MK4 were released.
Because MKD hasn't been out long, you aren't gonna hear as much that MKD is the best, anyway.

Although Mk2 is really cool and very fun to play, I like MK:Deception better becasue it offers more and has the best graphics of all MK games.

A guy who has MKD said that you can only win, if you got the right fighting style, so it's not sopunds fair. I didn't played with MKD, but maybe they've got right that mk2 is better.

As much as I love MK2, Deception is better because its 3D. Not only does this allow better gfx, but it obviously adds a 3rd dimension to fighting, enhances the gameplay gr8ly

I think MKD is better because all you did in MK2 is fight in 2d.
In MKD you can do alot of things play chess or play puzzle kombat. I would prefer MKD because of the 3d and the fighting styles. MK2 would get boring because there is only 12 characters in it.

Even knowing that Mortal Kombat 2 is my all time favorite out of the mk series...I would have to go with Mortal Kombat Deception because this is'nt a favorite game poll it is a "which one is better poll". MK:D is better for a ton of reasons,yes...it has 3-d and interactive arenas and you can buy stuff from the krypt,mk chess,puzzle,konquest,and so on and so forth.
MK:D is just a better more enhanced mortal kombat then MK2.

The fighting system could be a bit better, but it's not that bad. So this "guy" obviously hasn't played MKD thoroughly.

u can't really compare mk2, a 2-d game to mkd, which is a 3-d game. but in reality i thiink mk2 is better.
i don't really like the 3d animation at all. i wish that all the mk games were 2d.

MK2 was leaps and bounds above MK1.......it was the most revolutionary of all the games. MKD is awesome, but in terms of improving upon what has been done before, MK2 is tough to beat.

I like both games. But MK:D is better: It has the best MK2 wariors(Baraka, Mileena), MK2 arenas (The portal- i think it΄s the best arena, Living forest...) and better !gameplay! than mk2.

MK:D takes all of the mechanics of MK2 and pushes it to the limit. Hell, you can play MK:D with the feeling of deja'vu ala MK2. Midway analyzed every MK game, put all of the good stuff and more, and gave us exactly what we wanted. What do you think of Scorpion?
