Hi Newbie here!
I was wondering if anyone can tell me when the original MK movie will be released on DVD in Australia? I am dying for a copy, and I don't have a multi region Dvd player so really need a region 4 copy. Help??

You are out of luck mate, For a long time I was harrasing Village Roadshow Entertainment to release Mortal Kombat on DVD here, as they own the rights to distribute New Line films in Australia. I never got any replies from my emails as such, and the film is now 10 years old and it's still not out, not a good sign at all! I imported mine, as you can make anything multi-region these days with the right tools. It seems we will forever be stuck with the lame ass MK:A sequel. You can get the movie on video here, but you would have to hunt for it.

Bugga, I was really hoping they would be releasing it soon.
Another quick question, do you happen to know if the original soundtrack is available?? I used to have a copy, but it seems to have gotten lost along the way somewhere. I really would love another copy.

None of the MK CD's are available in Australi anymore, try ebay.
