I know that Shredder has been wearing that very uniform since old teenage mutant nija turtles but I think new TMNT came out before MKD.

Could it be possible that Shredder was the inspiration behind Sub-Zero's new look? They look almost alike.

tmnt came first, and they have had many different looks to shredder as well, so it is a really high posivility that new sub is based after shrreder, just like many mk characters are based on other known or already established characters, like raiden, and original shan sung
