To put an avatar on you must either;
For the side avatar you need to click the picture for the pop-up menu select properties. There will be a url address some where which you highlight, copy then come to change profile settings and paste it into the bar at the bottom.
For a signture avatar you need to do the same but put [url] at the beggining and [/url] at the end (of corse do this in the sig box in Change profile settings).
