if i had two choices of games that both had mortal kombat in it and the difference between them was that one was the 2d mortal games such as mk,mk2,mk3,mkgold and on the other side was mk deadly allainace and mk decepection.I would rather go with the old school mk games because they have o whole lot more blood in it they also have easier combos i really enjoyed it more than the new 3d ones with the new fighting styles even though i do admit they are incredable.So i just want to know on how many people thinks that these new 3d games a better than the old ones and how many think what i think

The same situation: I have no much money. And I can buy either Midway Arcade Treasures (MK2,MK3) or MK:Deadly Alliance (I have Deception).
My choice is MK:Deadly Alliance, because I haven´t played it.
You have to choose if you want modern gaming experience with perfect graphic, sound... OR if you want the old MK games which have great atmosphere, stories (I don´t think that new MKs have bad story, but Shao Kahn is still best boss for me:-).

I agree that shoa koan was a great enemy i also would like it if goro{i think thats how u spell his name}would return in the next mortal kombat games

I think MK2 was ok. MK3 was great. UMK3 was, and still is the best. Then MK4 was a mess, MKDA was broken, and MKD was even more broken. The gameplay of the 3D games was just a sad sad affair.

What´s wrong with the gameplay of 3d MK games?
I own MK:D. Combos and weapons are funny to use. And there are new possibilities how to hurt your enemy in MK:D...
I like old MKs, but the new ones are great too!

The 3D games don't really allow for high level play because they are too broken. They are fine for casual stuff messing around, but anything like a tournament for MKDA or MKD is just silly.
