Does anyone know if the Mortal Kombat 1 TV GAME system that was released a short while ago, is an exact port of the arcade version? Meaning, does it have all the gore and graphics that the arcade version did? Also, does it come with a second controller for versus mode? Lastly, has anyone ever played the pc version of mortal kombat 1; because i read that it was almost identical to the arcade version. so i wanted to know what was different about it. Can anyone help; and if a pc mortal kombat game does not or was not programmed to run on a specific version of windows, for example, MK1 running on Windows XP, how else can it be played?

I think it is almost an exact version it just has little tweaks but I am not sure what they are sorry

It isn't really an exact version. The stages don't scroll horizontally as much as the original, and some of the sounds are missing. The music sounds a bit tinnier than the original, also.

It's a completely new version of the game. Lower quality sounds, no scrolling layers in the backgrounds, stuff like that. As far as gameplay, I am not sure how different it is to the arcade.
EDIT: Weird, that last response before mine didn't show up when I clicked to post or else I wouldn't have bothered since he covers it.

When I get the unit, I will post a FULL review on TMK. I can tell you that it has all the Blood and Fatalities on it, the music and sounds and graphics are slightly cut down, for the unit as to make an exact version would be very costly and would need alot more time. The coolest thing about the Jakk MK TV Unit is YOU CAN UNLOCK REPTILE AND PLAY AS HIM.

i have it,
itz got all charatcers from mk1, u can unlock reptile 2 fight or play as him & very bad grahpicz

Unfortunatly, I don't think Reptile is unlockable, the back of tyhe box says you can unlock Reptile, but I think they mean unlock to fight him...and as for the pictures, I guess thats some sort of trick marketing... sorry guys =/
