wouldn't it be cool if you can edit your character when choosing him or her. I mean, you can choose from many costumes and choose whcih fighting styles your characters can use. wouldn't that be a good idea?

I don´t know if this idea wouldn´t destroy classic MK. But maybe it would be good, when you could do this for example in MK:SM or in some future MK game (not classic MK fighting game)  _________________ DEVELOPER DIARIES

Well let me make an example of what i mean...
here is what you see in an average mk menu:
arcade
versus
kontent
options
..and so on
They can add in a "character edit option"
Let me use Li Mei as an example.
In MKDA, she had Lui He Ba Fa and Baji Quan, with Sais as a weapon
In MK:D, Li Mei had Mi Zong and Lui He Ba Fa, with some sword as a weapon. Li Mei would already have a default setting (as well as all the other characters), so you can leave her alone if you don't want to edit her.
In this character edit option you can choose which 2 fighting styles and which weapon she can use in battle. Lets say you choose Mi Zong and Baji Quan, with Sais as a weapon.
Now off to kombos: With the "Style Change" button you can connect kombos within each fighting style and create a branch combo using two or all three fighting styles in one combo! there should be a limit though - I think 3 is good. Then after all this, These settings will remain the same until you want to edit again. Also, this would be saved to a memory card, so that way, if you have a friend over who wants to use Li Mei, but doesn't want the same settings as you, he or she can edit Li mei on his or her memory card so your editing won't be affected!

That would be pretty cool. It probably hurt Mortal Kombat in away because people will be demanding that other than classic fighting. They could make this to work by making your character and then fighting.

I don't get what you mean...
How can editing your character's fighting styles hurt MK?
also, what do u mean by making a character? I didn't mean to litterally create a fighter, just thier fighting styles.

I bet they'll do it for MK7 for the Xbox 360. After all, if there is another konquest mode, and the Xbox 360 lets you creat your own char's and such for games. I think it might happen. _________________

I think tweaking with the fighting styles and combos and whatnot would be too complicated and be too time consuming. I think if that feature is ever implemented into MK, it won't be that big of a thing, because of the complexity of it all.

good idea, but as each characters could have n times the number of moves they would normally have, a much larger amount of animation would be needed

Well one reason i think it would be worth the trouble to make this possible is because you can be able to master any characters moves and fighting styles because you would make them by yourself and i'm sure that this would make the sells go up.

I think that would be a fantastic idea...even though it would be time consuming it would be worth the wait...just like we are waiting for mk:sm i would definetely wait for this. _________________
