I've been wondering about this for awhile. I've notice that Raiden is evil in both costumes. I don't know why he is evil. His ending still has him act good but he doesn't look that it. Did he get possed by the Dragon King (I highly doubt that due to him saricifing himself) So the question is why is he evil raiden?

I wouldn't neccessarily say that he's EVIL, but I think he's just pissed off with the stupidity of mortals, so he's not gonna take it anymore.

Dark Raiden is better than the original Raiden. I like the bad looking guys and girls:-) It wouldn´t be funny, if he would be good on every MK:-)

Yeah and ever since Shujinko was doing Damashi,or should I say Onaga's dirty work in collecting Kamidogus and giving it all to Onaga Raiden was kinda pissed off, I dont know what to call Raiden if he is a good or bad guy,or god actually, seeing that this time its Raiden's rules. You f*** with earthrealm even a little bit, Raiden will give you some shock therapy with his lightning powers

Raiden has been a cool character for me all the time, but he's even cooler as "dark"

I read this on line, one person's theory on Dark Raiden. I like it, ans it sounds poosible in the MK Universe.

It could be possible. But in Liu Kang´s bio Liu is saying: Raiden´s blast destroyed Shang Tsung and our souls were free to ascend into the heavens...

That could just mean Shang's physical body was destoyed. Shang's lifeforce could have merged with Raiden's

Thats a cool theory Mr. Tuesday I really wonder if they where fused together. Raiden still is Raiden but with some evil life force in him supposely Quan Chi and Shang Tsung aren't enough? They way Raiden was defeated...he looked back and then Quan Chi shot him he knew the Dragon King arose back from the dead. Thus Quan Chi and Shang Tsung defeated him. I would think if they where fused Raiden would be more evil than dark.

lol, Jay's theory is funny... This topic reminds me, I could never get his fatality to work in Deadly Alliance... Just a thought, what if the creators twisted Raiden's plot and he turned against his Earth realm allies and was neutral

Nooooooooooo. that ruin everything. Raiden needs to be the strong figure on the good side. He is like the strongest of all teh good guys so having him be neutral (or bad) would be stupid. And may i add that there shouldn't be any neutrals. Either you're good or you're bad.
