That can't be true unless some how tarkata are suddenly born in Earthrealm. According to the MK mythologies site Shang Sung was born in earthrealm.

Vainziler: Ok, according to the MK plot that tabmok99 worte...he said that Shang Tsung was a Tarkantan bcuz of a CONCEPT PIECE he saw. Just because Tsung was drawn like that does NOT mean that he is of the Tarkata. I mean, in MKDA Dairou was originally a blood-thirsty samarai working for Shao Kahn. But in MKD, his story was completely different.
