I'm gonna expand on the fight scene between Kano and Sonya on the Rooftop in MK3.

In one of the many cities in the United States, slowly becoming Outworld, was a building holding a fight which would earn a victory for Earth against Shao Kahn. On the rooftop of the city Bank was Special Forces agent, Sonya Blade, and the Outworld thug, Kano. There has been great rivalry between these two warriors. Kano had murdered Sonya's brother and partner a long time ago and was wanted for theft and murder in over 20 countries. Sonya knew that this was her chance to avenge her pain in the past and finally put her anger to an end. Kano, however, wanted this whench dead to stop medalling in his affairs in the Black Dragon.
The infamous words were heard: "FIGHT"
Kano immediately took his knives out and started slashing at Sonya. She blocked, but her arms got the punishment of the blades. She shook off the pain and countered Kano with a leg sweep, which made Kano let go of his knives. He desperately tried to get them, but Sonya kicked them away to another area of the rooftop. Kano rapidly got up and ended up getting in the way of Sonya's bicycle kicks which were landed at his chest sending him high up in the air. He managed to land on his feet and jumped over to Sonya and rained punches on her face trying to make her bleed and cry out. Before any serious damage was taken to her face, Sonya kicked Kano in the stomach and he went down to the floor. He grabbed her legs and tried sending her down too. She gathered as much of her inner energy and sent a pink spiral at Kano. He took it and let go momentarily. Sonya kicked his face while he was still down. He pretended to be dead...
Sonya started to walk away believing she was the victor. Kano silently got up and got behind the agent. She sensed him behind her and spun around, but only to be punched and kicked over and over again. She realized what was going on. Kano was trying to get her to the edge of the roof and ultimately push her over. She broke the combo and kicked Kano in the chest. She then stood on her hands and used her legs to grab Kano's neck. With all her might, she flipped him over her and he landed close to the edge. Kano was very disoriented from the attack and couldn't comprehand where he was and how his life was in danger. Sonya moved quickly; she kicked him and he starting teetering over the edge, quickly losing his balance. While trying to save himself, he grabbed Sonya's hair and wouldn't let go until she either pulled him into safety or went down with him. Sonya firmly stood her ground and Kano slowly lost his grip. She punched at his hand and he let go, managing to pull out a lock of Sonya's blond hair. Kano went plummeting to the pavement in front of the Bank. He was surely dead. Sonya finally had killed Kano and her new main focus would be on protecing her home. As she left the scene, the words were spoken: "Sonya Wins".

Go Sonya! I never liked Kano. It was good just like the classic MK but in your mind you picture the fighting.

Well this is inspired by the information told in MK:DA. It said tha Sonya and Kano fought on a rooftop, Kano fell and grabbed and pulled off some of Sonya's hair and kept him to remind him of his defeat. Kano was revived by Motaro and thrown in jail to be punished by Shao Kahn. He met Sheeva there and betrayed her by giving her to Khan in return for his safety. I remind you again that these are real facts revealed in MK:DA. I want to build on this later.

After the fall....
Kano's dead body lay flat on the pavement in front of the bank. Sonya had won and she was on her way to claim victory. One point for Earthrealm.
A gigantic shadow covered the street where Kano had fallen and slowly the shadow came closer and closer. Motaro looked down on the dead human and laughed to himself. How can this man, a man who was appointed by Shao Kahn to lead his forces and command his troops, let a pathetic girl defeat him in battle. Motaro was ready to leave Kano there to rot. He would of enjoyed that. But he wanted more.
Motaro picked up the body and slung it over his shoulder like a bag of wet sand. He strode further into the city area and galloped to his lair in a nearby building. In his times while working for Kahn, Motaro had been accustommed to sorcerors summoning demons and casting spells. He had learned a bit from that and mastered certain rituals. One of those that he found most useful were revival spells. Motaro created an altar with cement blocks from the walls of the biuldng to lay Kano's body. With the materials collected, Motaro began the ritual: "Kum oas estifados nicxited o kwafot laknatik, ufast o posedu imeneois." said the centuar in an unfamiliar language. Again Motaro chanted this until the body in front of him lifted into the air and glowed with a strange green mist. From the bowels of the Netherrealm came the soul of Kano, which entered into its body. Kano openned his eyes and found himslef in front of the montrous Motaro.
"Where am I?" he asked. Weary from the experience Kano stumbled on his feet when he tried to get up. Motaro saw that Kano was alive again and now he was able to do what he intended. Motaro grabbed Kano and threw him into a nearby prison cell...

Meanwhile...
Sheeva treaded through the slowly changing city and looked around, seeking the building where Motaro dwells. The cold, dark, cement streets were litterred of the bodies that have been robbed of thier souls. The extermination squads had been there, murdering all in their way and leaving no one. She stopped and thought back to when Shao Kahn assigned roles. She had eagerly wanted to command the troops and lead the extermination squads. Instead, she was look after his recently resurrected bride, Queen Sindel. She despised Kahn for making her a mere bodyguard rather than the leader she knew she could be. How quickly Kahn chose Motaro to be leader! She had always suspected that Kahn favored the Centuars more than her race of Shokans. This event had confirmed it and she was convinced that she needed to get revenge. She raised her four arms in her promise to kill her Emperor.
Just then, Sheeva saw a green light soaring through the sky and entering a window from a nearby building. She felt that this was where Shao Kahn must be. She ran to the structure and went inside readying herself for kombat. Sheeva traveled to the upper floors of the building and silently looked in on a main room where she sensed a presence. She saw Motaro, facing the other direction and in front of him was the body of Kano. It was his soul she saoring through the sky! As Kano became conscious, he asked, "Where am I?" he tried to get up but he was too weak. Without a word, Motaro seized Kano and threw him into a prison cell in the room. Seeing this was her chance, Sheeva took out a sword she was wieilding at her side and slew Motaro from behind. She did not want any chances with him ruining her plans, and besides, they had rivaled for a long time, and now she settled the score. Kano saw all this and pleaded for Sheeva to let him out. "Why should I help you? I should kill you right now!" Sheeva replied. Kano promised to ally with Sheeva and do whatever she tell him to do in exchange for his freedom.

This was the plan:
Kano was to confront the Emperor, Shao Kahn. While the emperor was distracted, Sheeva would murder him from behind. Then she would surely be in charge and Kano would get control of the military forces.....
Sheeva and Kano traveled to where Kahn had made his throne in Earthrealm. The place itself looked alike to the palace in Outworld. However, it was formed on the highest skyscraper in the entire North American city. One could feel the souls pulsing in and out of the structure as the palace had glowed green. Kano knew right away that facing the Emperor after failing was instant death. Kano shuderred with fear when he entered the throneroom. Before Kahn, Kano appeared and waited for him to speak. Shao Kahn then got up and said "You died. I saw you myself. Either way, you failed me. You will face death and no escaping this time." Kano had to think fast. He had to get the Emperor's back facing the entrance to the throneroom so Sheeva can kill Kahn. Kano had always survived in face of Evil for making the right decisions. He knew if he betrayed Kahn with Kahn knowing, he would die and his soul would forever be punished. But if he succeeded, Sheeva would most likely not keep her part of the bargain and betray him. Besides, he would dislike serving a Shokan female.
Before Kahn could do anythng, Kano confessed what is going to happen and begged for forgiveness in the light of his loyalty. Shao Kahn fell back and laughed and gave Kano back his position. He told Kano to summon Sheeva. Kano gave the signal for her to come in. Slowly she made her way in the throneroom and found herslef facing the emperor weilding a large blade in his hands. She gasped for air and he plunged the weapon through her stomach. She died instantly.
