This is going to be like MK:T2, taking place after MK:D.
It was not by chance that this struggle came to be........and again I will explain why. The Deadly Alliance had succeeded in reviving the mummified remains of the Dragon King's army. They had defeated Raiden's warriors and had prevented any forces from getting in the way.
Coincidently, I had igonarantly gathered important items which hold the realms together, known as the Kamidogu. With the manipulation of the Dragon King, I had given him what he needed to become alive once more. Possessing the body of the Raptor, Reptile, Onaga had returned.
After the Deadly Alliance had defeated Raiden in kombat, the sorcerers, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, ended thier partnership and began to fight. Just then, Onaga emerged uponed them to reclaim his long-lost amulet. Raiden awoke from unconsciousness and temporarily allied with Quan Chi and Shang Tsung to defeat the Dragon King.
Raiden's last attempt in battle resulted in the death of the sorcerers and himself. It was in vain however, because the attack had no effect on Onaga. The Dragon King, clutching his amulet, now had what he needed....
Raiden was reborn in Earthrealm and came back with little tolerance on human ignorance. He had a score to settle with me. I pleaded for my life and begged for my life, and was spared. His compassion for life was slowly resurfacing.
The fallen warriors that were once fighting against the Deadly Allince were now fighting for Onaga. Liu Kang, who was killed by Shang Tsung was mysteriously brought back to life after his rotting corpse had been used as a tool of evil. With the help of Ermac, Liu Kang freed his Earthrealm friends souls, one by one, and gained new allies in the fight for the realms.
Queen Sindel, along with her friend, Jade, had tried to defeat Onaga single handedly. Sindel went to the tomb of the Dragon King, where his body was rested. Using ancient spells, she reanimated the corpse long enough to thrust her Kwan Dao into him. Onaga no longer possessed Reptile and was now in his original vessel - dead. Or so she thought. Onaga now had his body again and was in his true form. With his heart's reanimation power, Onaga called on the fallen warriors of the past. They would fight in his honor and would be true to him, and to him only. From the Netherrealm came a loud blast and there before Onaga were the defeated adversaries of Shao Kahn. They were his to command. They were alive. They were strong. They were ressurected.
