I want to see: Ninja Reptile (Preffered to be human), Rain, Fujin, Chameleon/Khemeolon, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Cyrax. People from the last game I still want to see in this one: Jade, Lui Kang, Havik, Raiden, Sindel, Baraka, Meelina, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Noob-Smoke, Kabal. People I want things adjusted for: I want Sindel to have her Hair Whip again, I want to finaly see Kabal WITHOUT the mask, I want Rain to have a new uptodate look, and not just the ninja outfit, I want jades alternate in MKD to be her primary in 7 (She looks hotter in that one) Lui Kang to be alive, Fujin and Raiden to become mortal rivals, and Sub-Zero and Scorpion to tag team!

I want Kitana, Scorpion, Liu Kang, Mileena, Sareena, Jade, Cyrax, Nitara, Frost, Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot, Smoke, Sektor, Sheeva, Jade, Sonya Blade, Reptile, Kira (only if she has her OWN moves and weapon), Smoke, guess thats about it *shrugs*

I think they should have every ninja in their original costumes. This would be
Rain, Smoke, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Noob and Cyrax and Sektor in human versions.

of course i think these are a must:
johnny cage, kitana, cyrax, sub zero, reptile (ninja of course), scorpion, kung lao.
the ones i'd really like to see return for mk 7 is: raiden (maybe as a dark character), sonya, kano, shang tsung, quan chi, li mei, cyrax, kenshi, kung lao, bo'rai cho, baraka, mileena, ermac, rain, jade, sindel, shujinko, noob saibot, smoke (and not as a tag team)
i'd really like to see them develop blaze more as a character too.. and stryker. was i the only one who thought he was cool?

Personally, Styrker was an OK character, but he was very cheap in the arcade and seemed too average, movewise.

Actually I wouldn't mind if Stryker returned though he needs a hell of alot improving in looks, moves and story
Fujin
Rain
Sektor
I just put these as I listed elsewhere but what story to give them is hard though Fujin's could have something to do with Raiden's character change and Sektor could either be along Noob lines or his rivalry with Sub Zero

As long as there is scorpion and sub-zero the game rocks already. 
For returning characters i would like to see rain and sektor again.
Stryker was alright never hated him and never liked him.
