What is wrong with Tekken?
I am supposed to get that for xmas, so i am worried that it might suck with the way u people are talking about it.

Well, it would be alright if they took out the dial-a-combos and the pop up moves. You might like it. To me Teken is to Mortal Kombat as Quake is to Doom.

Never heard of Doom? Doom 3 just recently came out on Xbox and the movie Doom is in theaters starring the Rock.
Its a FPS with demons. Been around for quite a while. Ring any bells
As for Quake its just another FPS, never played it myself. And I guess Shoe was implying that it was a Doom rip off that sux.

I'm happy to know nobody knows quake. It warms my heart.
As it so happens, Id Software has made both Doom and Quake. Quake was originaly going to be Doom 3. The problem was that too many newbish players complained that Doom/Doom II was too hard (this is circa 1993).
So they dumbed it down to make it easier on the players. The monsters were predictable, the weapons over powered, the ammo pleantiful, butthe graphics were great. Not unlike tekken. It's cheapened, but it's got nice graphics.
I played through quake and I had tons of ammo. I still see people saying they were running out. In Doom, you had to learn how many shots it would take to kill something, in quake most of the regs never learned it. They went through ammo like water. Health packs were pleantiful. It sickened me.
On top of that, the final boss couldn't be killed by weapons. You just ran around dodging his agonizingly slow fire and telefrag him.
Telefragged. I felt dirty.

I dont first person shooters. I'd rather directly beat up people, so i prefer MK.

I agree, hate FPS's too. Just recently I bought Metroid Prime because of the rave reviews. But I eneded ip sailing it days later.

Arg....I only bought that game bcuz Samus was from SSB, and I wanted to try her game out. I hated it!!
