I believe that MK7 will serve as MK:T2. Here are some reasons:
Biggest roster of characters ever.
MK1, 2, 3 = MKT / MK4, 5, 6 = MKT2
MK1 = Shang Tsung, MK2&3 = Shao Kahn / MK5 = Deadly Alliance, MK6&7 = Onaga
I think its a possibility.....

well, seeing how tekken 5 was totally awesome (i havent played it myself yet) and was packed with characters, i guess the MK team really dont have a choice.. having the biggest roster ever in an MK game..
i'd for one like to see most of the characters from the previous games return, including new ones.

No more new characters!!!
I liked MKT because they didn't add any new characters, so this game shouldn't either.

hmm, when I said that it would be another MKT a few months ago, MK Online forums laughed at me 
havent mentioned it since, but I'm glad someone agrees wiht me

i would love to see a mortal kombat trilogy 2!!!but i think there shuouldnt be too much story.it should be like tekken tag tournemant

Well, they wouldn't have to change the story too drastically. They can still be fighting Onaga, but add in the rest of the MK cast and just write up a bio saying where they were and why they are there. I compare MKD to MK3 / MKD (gc version) to UMK3 / and hopefully MK7 to MKT.

the main reason to why i wrote "some new characters", is because there always is. i sure hope that if they do make new characters that they will only make a few (2-3 tops) and give them a good backstory.
but to be honest, i hope they wont really add any new ones.. i mean with the 6 games already released, they got anought characters to choose from.

I can't wait for this. I mean if I remember correctly MKT had over 40 playble chaaracters (every character made at that time, plus old school versions, plus the seceret characters Chameleon/Khemeloen) So this means this is ganna be a huge game, I just hope that they add Test Your Might back, and can have 4 people fighting at the same time

MK Trilogy had 32, plus Chameleon on PS1. So the one with the most was the PS version of Trilogy
