Well Amphibious and I were arguing on whether or not Smoke's MKD alt was a human form.
So anyways. I always thought Ermac appeared when Reptile turned red.

If you are talking about the glitch, then I doubt it eould happen to you, becuase there is one in bajillion chance of it happening to you.

It was just explained. It supposedly turns Scorpion red. But's it's extremely rare.

THE ORIGIN OF ERMAC
The original MK series used live action recordings for their characters. A guy would dress up as Liu Kang, and carry otu the acts. They took the footage and used it to make the characters. The ones who have color variations (like Sub-Zero and Scorpion) always wore RED versions of the costume, because red is the easiest color for a computer to recognize and change (check the skins for any other game with color change, like Warcraft III and Unreal, or watch the videos for Kitana on MKD special features to see what I mean. The actress wears red, even though there is no red female ninja).
So the guy who played SubZero/Scorpion was in a red ninja suit. In the game, they changed it to blue for SZ and yellow for Scorp.
Then to green for Reptile, black for Noob, etc...
Well, in Mortal Kombat I, there was a glitch that caused the color palette not to load for Scorpion. When this happened, the screen displayed an ERROR MACRO instead of the character name, shortened to "ERMAC". So the player would see that their character was apparently named "ERMAC" and he was a red ninja(since the palette never loaded, and defaulted to the base red color).
Fans thought this was a "secret character", although in reality, it was just a coding glitch. But Boon and Tobias, being the silly people they are, made him a real character in the MKIII, just to make the fans crazy.
That, my friends, is the true origin of Ermac. So there.

Thanks. I have a mild obsession with Ermac. I don't know why. Maybe it's because he speaks in third person plural, or because he's basically a computer malfunction, or if it's just because he looks really cool.
I'm sure one of these days, the mods at the Epic Battles forum are gonna smack me for my constant demands for an Ermac character card.

(I've been away for a couple days, my bad.)
I've said in another thread that Smoke's body can turn into smoke itself.
When I say "human" I mean as human as Smoke can get, since he's basically partially smoke himself. He's by no means a normal human, as he obviously possesses some kind of "magical" powers, beyond that of Sub-Zero or any normal human (his body can become a gasious solution).
By refering his alt. costume in MKD as his "human form" I mean his "non-cyborg" self. I don't consider a difference between "ninja" and "human" since, despite his mask (which even still seems like a ninja mask to me...), he doesn't look robotic at all in MKD with his alt. costume.
I stand by my previous statements, but I hope this clears some stuff up.
Definatly NOT looking machine. He's made partially of smoke himself, thus why he doesn't have the 'fleshy' look he had from previous MK games. It's like with Sub-Zero's frozen arms. With better graphics they could improve character's looks.

^ There's Noob-Smoke's ending pic part I, note that Smoke is his "human-ninja" like self, not the machine. Any explinations people? In some endings he's cyborg, in others he's not.
I presume Ashra's ending might have occured before this one, assuming this ending actually happened at all.

Well it's obvious that you are not gonna admit that i was right. Look, I know what your saying, but before the entire argument was based on Smoke's alt being his HUMAN form. You never said, taht you meant the "non-cyborg" form that you meantion now. You come, several posts after the debate ended, and say that you meant something else earlier, and frankly I ain't buying it.

don't be rude, Jay. it's not a matter of wrong or right, really. until Boon and Co. says that Smoke is either or, we can only give our own opinions, and thus, create a nice debate like this one.
