The MK team never do anything the fans want Jay, and when they do decide to do it they do it assways. Like the way everyone wanted Goro and shao Khan for Deception, only one console out of 3 got to have them and in some countries it wasnt released for that console *SNEEZE ireland SNEEZE*. Then they decide to make Shaolin Monks like MK2 (which it isnt considering every fighter you encounter other than Kitana dies) so you think to yourself "Well at least we have MK2 to unlock", only to painfully discover that the PS2 doesnt have Mk2 unlockable in it in Europe. 
If they dont make the next game EXACTLY the way the fans want it I for one wont buy anymore MK games

I agree.
I can't stand the versus mode for SM!!! It's so hard to understand, for me anyways. My friend immediately understood how to play and beats me everytime no matter who he chooses. I can never win! He keeps doing these damn air combos that i cant do and he wont give me any tips.

You can encounter him by pressing X when he knocks you in the air.
Its hard for the MK team do things like the fans want. Its because of this game is MK, so its must be have scenes that you finish your enemies and our enemies are............  . I think Jade, Scorpion, Shang Stung didnt die. Jade because we cant see her body when we back to her place, Scorpion because hes a fire demon, and a fire demon cant die in fire. Did you see Scorpion's last scene? That scene make me believe Scorpion didnt die. Shang Stung because of Quan Chi. How will he be able to killl Liu Kang if Shang Stung died?
By the way i think they are not good because of not making a playable female character . Damn i can only play Kitana in VS mode, and they even didnt make Sonya,Jax, Mileena, Jade, Kano playable in VS mode when they can. Why are they so lazyyyyyyyy????

I dont get it either. The characters you mentioned have actual moves and at least one finish move, (if not then so what?), and they were promoted last year, when MKSM was in GI magazine, so the mk team knew everyone would figured that they would be playable. I mean, i think the MK team did that on purpose to piss us off and seriously, why can't they just listen to the fans? I understand that things like that take time to do, but if they can make a versus mode in the first place, and put in bosses like reptile, scorpion, and baraka to the mix, then i dont see why they couldn't add the rest. I mean, at least another chick. Things like that are really making me less of an mk fan and i'm sure that many others agree. If the MK guys keep that up, then they are gonna lose many buyers.

This game was a total disapointment for me.
First of all i don't think I would be playing the story mode again 'cause there is no reason to do so since i know how it ends.
Second, the vs. mode sucks,with only 8 characters with their new wierd fighting style and the game play that isn't mortal kombat at all. the game play is more like the "xmen legends" games, with the excecuting of powers by pressing x,a,b,y buttons while holding "R" trigger
The only thing that i liked about the game was the Starting movie
I didn't even like the MK2 that i unlocked. Because the game makers didn't even bother to change the looks of the start menu and make it look more like MK SM and it looks just like the MK2 in Midway Arcade Treasures 2. Everything down to the beeping sound when you press the start botton. 
And, I played Ko Op with subzero and scorpion and guess what they call eachother in the game, "liu Kang" and "Kung Lao"
I love mortal kombat games because everytime i played it i got what i wanted . but this game was a loss of money and time, and hope for better mk games.

I myself wasn't that impressed with MKsm. And true, the only thing that I enjoyed the most was the intro. (and the ending movie.)
The fighting system doesn't have the "feel" that other MK games have.

I couldnt agree more with the two of you. I was saying to myself when I bought it "Brilliant, this game will clear up a few loose ends" but it didnt, in fact, close to NOTHING that took place in that game was cannon or in anyway logical. MK is just letting me down lately, I think I'll go back to playing the golden oldies.

MK7 is gonna be MK's last chance for me.
Seriously, if it doesn't meet it's PROMOTED standards, then I am not gonna buy anymore MK.

As I've said in another thread somewhere, since this game is the 3D representation of MK2 following Liu Kang and Kung Lao, they should have included EVERY playable character from the original MK2 game in versus mode. I still think we've yet to unlock some myteries in this game... (I.E. have any of you found Noob Saibot other than that cinematic he was in w/ Sub-Zero in the Neatherrealm??)

Not in storymode, but I have found him. Select Sub-Zero with both fighters, one player will be Noob the other will be Sub-Zero
