seriously, dead heat? who knows?
both crazy beasts of fury
both with tonk weapons
both have knowledge of the art of hung gar
who wins? 
my vote.....baraka, despite the fact that reptile outranks baraka in mk1, mk2, mk3, umk3, mkt, mk4, mkg, mkda, and deception (being the dragon king and all.)

Reptile would win anyday. Baraka is cool and all, but he relies too mch on his blades. Reptile can go toe-to-toe with just about anybody and he doesnt have to rely on his weapon. Plus, he is my fav!

Actually Reptile was one of the worst characters (arguably the worst) in MK2. Baraka outranks him there. In MKT they are both quite good. Reptile for speed and containing someone and Baraka for simple enormous damage (partially thanks to MK2 level of damage and his broken Blade Spin). I will have to go with Baraka.

How was he the worst!? I thought Jax was the worst in that game, Reptile was pure class! Nobody could beat me as him when I was invisable

reptile outranked baraka you fool. baraka was just the grunt that led a bunch of expendable beasts that were the same as himself. although the tarkata are pretty cool. i hear that he is the first boss of mksm so it is likely that reptile is seen as more powerful. besides, reptile has never died, yet baraka died in mk2.

Well as far im concern, I highly respect the Lizard ninja Reptile and the Tarkatan leader Baraka. They are so dangerous to battle specially at the arts of Hunggarr. And also their vicious actions......

I'm gonna go with Reptile on this one. Baraka for all his strength would not be able to handle a quick thinking and high reactive warrior like Reptile. If you really got down to it, Baraka would remain the same as time went on and I'm pretty sure as Reptile de-evolved, his natural instincts and move became far sharper, allowing him to surprise an opponent full of himself or not paying attention.

Jax and Mileena are the two most powerful characters in MK2. Reptile and Raiden are the two least powerful. Doesn't really matter how well you do, if you are beating people with reptile in MK2, they suck.

I'm talking about Mortal Kombat II. You know, the arcade game? The one where Jax and Mileena are the most powerful characters? And Reptile sucks? Winning with reptile is like winning with Sheeva or Shang in UMK3. They are not good characters so winning with them usually means the other person playing is bad, or is at least not anywhere near as good.

Excuse me, but Sheeva kicked ass in MK3. Her combo had 8 hits or something, she had a good fireball and her teleport attack was damn powerful. And the worst in MK3 was Stryker and Kabal not Sheeva and Shang

yeh dude. and reptile rocked in mk2, as did rayden. baraka was probably the best, especially against jax and mileena. there was never anything special about those two. just copies of kitana and sonya

Reptile. He is by far more vicus, powerful, ugly, tough, dementded, ruthless, stealthy, smart, reptilian, and is just plain better.
