Forum member, EWAShock the well renouned UMK3 expert has sent me info on a UMK3 Tournament that is being held in December. Info is below, thanks EWAShock! ---

I don't know if you post info for tournaments in the states, but North East Championships 6 is coming up soon, and I just talked to the coordinator, I'm running a UMK3 tournament on at least the Saturday it starts on, if they run it for two days, I'll run it both, we'll see, but he hasn't updated it yet, he asked me about advertising it on MK boards. Here's all the info for the entire tourny so far:
North East Championship(NEC6) in Philly
OK players here we go again this is the thread for NEC6 in Philadelphia Pa. . Park Plaza Hotel--Days INN(2015 Penrose Av.) (215-336-4516)--South Philadephia, 3 miles from the airpot.) will be the location of NEC6.
I WILL POST MORE INFO ON THE HOTEL later this is an easy place to get to.
NEC6 WILL BE A CONSOLE-ONLY TOURNAMENT.
The date of NEC6 will be December, 3th in that 1 days there will be anywhere from 9 - 10 games.
I have change a lot of entry fee so players can have some kind of money left over to do other things with like eat and party or do what ever. I think this will help the numbers in some of the smaller games to.
There will be a Team Tournament's this year the Team games will be MVC2, GGXX(slash if its out), and CVS2,SC3,Tk5, so get your team mates together before you get here please (you have 2 months to do this)
All the rules will be the same as all the tournament Ive thrown (this will be treated like an arcade version tournament). (CVS2 you can change your players order)
We will have anywhere between 4-5 MasSticks available for use. Other then that you can bring your own controllers. We will have between 10 - 20 TVs available for the tournament
and there will be 5 games TVs & games open for casual play.
You also can bring your own sytem and T.V. if you want something else to play thats not on the game list but let me know b4 hand.
There will be a $10 Registration Fee per player.
And to the players that come just to Watch(NON-Tournament Players) you will also have to pay the $10.00 Registration FEE.
Tournament will be double elim 2-out-3, semi--3-out of-5-winner/loser-semi 2-out of-3, winner finals-4-out of 7/ loser finals-3out of-5

We will start all the tournament game one after another sign up and entry fee will be collect between 9am and 11:45am.
SC3 -- start time will be 12pm entry fee will be $10.00--Psi2
TK5-(5.1 if its out)--entry fee will be $10.00--psi2
MVC2 -- entry fee $10.00--DC
CVS2 -- entry fee $10.00--DC, Psi2
GGXX-(slash if its out) -- entry fee $10.00--psi2
3S -- entry fee $7.00--psi2
TTT --5pm Entry fee $5.00--psi2
ST--entry fee $7.00--DC
CFJ--entry fee $5.00--psi2
MK6--entry fee $5.00--psi2

Attn: All Those who will be attending NEC6:
For those who are wondering how this is going down we're gonna purchase a bare-bones PC (strictly for fighters) and run UMK3 off MAME, so this is the actual arcade game that will be played...we're gonna go all out with an S-Video TV for the sharp graphics and such with custom UMK3 arcade sticks available.
This is gonna be the UMK3 *Universal Championship* people, so start practicing so you can represent come Dec. 4th.

101 views and no replies. Awesome. Can you update the name of this thread to the one that was closed for no reason minutes after I put it up? It's not like this forum is exactly hopping with excitement and interesting threads. Maybe people don't care about the tournaments when they happen, but they care about the vids.

Oh my...a UMK3 tournament...Too bad im living east Canada caus i know a lots of peeps that would be there if a arcade UMK3 tournament happend here. Oh and btw, congrats for that superb MK site here.
