Post subject: can't get past shao kahn, any tips ? |

I'm with lui kang on mksm and i find beating shao kahn vertually impossible. my health is down after the defeats of kintaro and shang tsung, but not much. Asoon as kahn get that hammer out and swings it around like a mad man its impsossible to avoid and therefore this is where i always get beat. Any tips anyone?

You need to use Long Jump to get around his spinning hammer attack, now that you have this tip you should beat the game no problem.

my husband and I had trouble with him at first. then we read a site that said that we should fight Kano and get a health upgrade. before the final battles (Shang Tsung, Kintaro, Kahn), talk to Kitana about 3 or 4 times. you'll fight some guards and a door will open on the right. you'll be able to fight Kano there, along with Jax's help. it's not a tough battle, so it's an easy health upgrade.
along with the long jump that Total-MK mentioned, it should help you a whole lot.

But there are certain times that when you do a long jump, there is a time that Kahn seems to home in on you and WHAM! Hammer in your face. ><
Also the dodge move is useful too L2+X (PS2 version)

yea i got as far away from kahn as possible when i thought he was about to start his hammer swing ,and then long jumped away from him, evaded once, did the double jump right after the evade and ended with kung lao's special kicks on top of kahn as he starts to gasp for breath!

Wait till he is just about to hit you, then do 2 long jumps, and go sround the arena, not up or down, go either left or right ways. Then after 2 long jumps you will need to recharge the specials meter, best to do a third normal jump to keep your distance from Kahn.

Beating Shao Kahn is easy if you use tricks on him. I play Liu Kang, After battle with Shang Stung and Kotaro i only have very very very small Hp:_( . So i keep running a round Arena and shot fire to Shao Kahn  . When he use his hammer , i still keep running and use R1+X to avoid his special attack then shot fire to him when hes tired . I keep doing like that untill hes stunned and....Fatality. Thats the way i beat Shao Kahn but i really dun like it. Can anyone here show me how to win a battle with Shao Kahn not using trick ?
BTW: Sorry I'm not good at English :p
