I must say that I enjoyed the way some of the characters were portrayed in mksm. i voted for that. mkd storyline got out of hand too much. good guys=evil. bad guys=good. ridiculous. mk2 storyline worked. _________________ Life is full of troughs and peaks. I voted MKD. Mk is a FIGHTING game, and should stay that way. Now dont get me wrong though, I did enjoy MKM and MKSM (Cant comment on MKSF cuz i never played it) but i think they should stick with fighting games. _________________

Don't play MK:SF you won't like it :s
MKD and MKSM are 2 differant games, they are both good in there own ways, I like MK:D better cause I like fighting, but I also like the adventure game that accompanies the fighting game, (especially since it was set in MK2, that was just sex on a stick) The only thing that bumed me out was The Foundry had this cool classic sounding music when you started to fight exactly like the MK2 level The Armory, but all the other levels didn't have that, they had the same sort of sound, but not the same sort of tunes.

Yeah that got to me too. I like Shaolin Monks but too many things got to me. (1) Noob is only in it for like, 5 seconds. (2) They killed off nearly EVERY boss. (3) Too little characters too choose from. (4) Once you have upgraded your attacks you cant use any of your EXP points. (5) MK2 isnt unlockable for PS2 in Europe (6) The storyline completely spirals out of hand at the end of it.
but whatever, I still like playing it. Only now I unlocked Scorpion and Sub-Zero for story mode and im too lazy to go through the game again! lol! _________________

MK Monks wins by far because it gives you the ability to not only fight with warriors from before, but it also gives you the chance to gain allies. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

True and you can also roam around the MK2 universe. And I have to say that MKSM is like an improved version of Konquest but this time you kick some major butt! _________________

Yea, but there is an issue here. You are comparing a FIGHTING game to an adventure game... _________________

What I loved about MK:SM, as a few people have said already, is how it takes you into the MK world. I grew up with this game and it's only really now - 10 years after first playing it - that I get to interact with the actual storyline. (Because personally Konquest didn't really cut it for me).
What I didn't like about it though, was everything that Noob Saibot5 wrote + the fact that by the time you upgrade all your moves, the game is almost finished, the TWO characters you unlock for 1-player mode have to go through the EXACT same shit that the default characters do - which is a pain in the ass after having clocked it twice already, and the actual game wasn't very hard. The only hard thing about it was finding the time to finish it!
But I still voted for MK:D, because I agree with VainZiler. MK is a fighting game, and even though I'm down with the idea that a game needs to evolve to stay interesting - MK's legacy is the awsome 1-on-1 challenges that the original games offered.
oh, and sorry about the really noob question, but what's MK:SF? _________________ Imagination is limited! Try to think of a colour that doesn't exist!
