It does actually
those black vertical areas to the side are 3d towers with low lighting.

well, I yanked the 3d towers temporarily while I work on the main area.
The orange around the background pic is basically a orange light lit fog.
Unfortunatey to properly reproduce that in 3D I would have to turn on FOG in the huge main area of the map, which runs SLOW:)
I may try it to see how it looks anyway- but probably wouldnt be good for playing

I just got done mowing the lawn and pulling/digging up FRICKIN small trees in 92F temp outside- bout passed out right when I finished...
Ill probably nap an hour, then continue the map...
Thanks for the compliments guys! Makes it more worth while when someone can enjoy what u make...
ps- I thought of making ALL mk maps in 3D- problem is I'm torn between the ease of use of the original UT and UnrealED and the NEW More advanced,complicated, and higher quality graphics and features of the NEW UT2003 and new UnrealED... (plus people actually HAVE original UT to play them on NOW

that needs working on is the tower and the floor, try to make the floor orangeish like the original background and pitch black in the coners to make it look like your high up. Then lower the tower and put one of those octagonal grates on instead of the dragon. The, around some parts of the tower put some spotlights, then on the main tower (on top) put the tower right over the octagonal grate. Then put the spotlight right on top in the middle of the tower. Then the stage will be complete.

well, making the floor orange wouldnt look right, because the "orange" look of the back gound is a fogging effect, orange fog- I would need to make an area near floor with orange fog if anything to be realistic.
What does "lower the tower" mean?
I allready have two spot lights mounted on the top edge of the tower.

Shorten the spotlight tower (in the middle) down to the walk way of grates at the bottom. Then just try to make the floor foggey so it looks like your really high up. Then on the man spotlight tower, put a little pillar in the middle (on top) then put a spot light on top. Is that clear?
