|
| |
hi guys,
I just don't understand, the canon storyline does not match the MK:SM storyline
f.e. sonya wasn't captured by baraka
according to the canon storyline it went like this:
| Quote: | The four of them(Goro,Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Kano) fought at the Pit and the three humans were likely
going to win in the end. But the crumbling of the island separated them and
Raiden could only find Johnny Cage |
another example: during the intro shang was about to be defeated, but was rescued by goro, who then flew along with shang and the rest of the villains through the portal
but in fact the canon storyline says that liu kang defeated both shang and goro in battle
and there are many other contradictions during the game, too much to sum up
I just don't understand which storyline to follow
what do you guys think about this? _________________ There are many ways to die, only one can make you immortal.

Yea I thought it was odd in some places, too.
For example, Lui Kang was supposed to have defeated Goro during the first MK tournament. Based on the storyline of MK2, Goro was actually supposed to have died.
Therefore, his very existance in MKSM didn't make much sense, but I can overlook that because he was obviously included because he's such a cool character.
However, the thing that I really didn't like about it was the way in which Lui Kang, Kung Lao and company act as though they've never heard of him or seen him before during the game. When speaking to Subzero, they refer to Goro as "a monster who's never been beaten in combat." But isn't Lui Kang supposed to have beaten him? In other words, when Lui Kang and Goro fight in the wasteland, that should actually have been their SECOND fight. But the game leads us to believe it's their first.

Well since the Mk team is always chaning storylines, it is best to go with the recent, because, now that Tobias (original writer of MK) is gone, the Mk team decided to let some other guy take care of the storyline - so some things changed for the better. Some things did confuse those who have read and studied into the classic storylines, but maybe in the future, all this will be taken care of. _________________ Very Angry Girls Instigate Negative Attitudes.

Nah I think all these especulations takes out the fun to the games....if you have the game....just play it and enjoy it.....it's important to notice things like that but don't give it too much of a thought cause they will suck away your fun...

OK Think about it if you some kid and he wondered who Goro was youd say "a monster thats never been beaten in combat" maybe alittle miswording is the true culprit, or liu is just describing how powerful Goro truely is, and besides how many times has some character been killed then miraculously brought back in the next MK, take mileena for example, or the earthrealm warriors _________________

It is fact. Goro and Shao Kahn are of MK sotryline. Not unless the Mk team say so. I guess we'll wait for MK7. _________________ Very Angry Girls Instigate Negative Attitudes.
